As someone who sits on 40 minute conference calls every day, it is nice to be able to do both. Its also nice on those calls to be able to read/respond/compose emails...or atleast post on facebook about how much I love conference calls ;)

The issue is that an iPhone on t-mobile doesn't use 3g. The issue with iPhones has always been their infineon 3g chips. There have been complaints about poor reception using the iPhone on 3g networks worldwide not just the US.

The 150mb is for people who want the iPhone just to have one. I still see a fair amount of people who use less than that on at&t. I bet they will have tiered pricing just like at&t.

Hopefully, if they do give agents the option to sell the iPhone, it will be more economical than it is for at&t agents. If not, you will continue to spend every week training on how much better android is 8) Either way, good luck!

YEs, but microsoft requires you to purchase their premium email service which is like $5/year.

They aren't lying....or misleading. They are just playing off the average consumers ignorance. Its hard enough to differentiate a company's advantage in the current market. Getting "creative" with marketing seems to be the easiest way.

Its simple. People will buy it. As an at&t rep we switch more people from verizon than any other carrier just for the iPhone. There will be a semi-mass exodus from at&t to verizon since apple built a crappy antenna for at&t as well as another internal switch from android to apple within verizon.

I Agree. I think 4" is perfect. The only way I would go 4.3" is if they could cut down on the body that surrounds the screen to make the overall size of the phone the same.

Thats because sprint did suck! You still aren't considering the fact that 70% of people surveyed carry a phone that is notoriously sucky as a phone! Its not indicative of at&t's network quality.

I know its crazy! I guess the true measuring tool will be at&t's churn rates the two years after they lose exclusivity. Either way it will be a good time to invest in apple. Maybe apple customer think they need better service and experiences than your average customer?? Who knows.

Thats interesting. Even though the iPhone is popular they still make up the minority of the at&t user base. I still say that this survey has flaws.

I'm sure customer service deals with complaints all the time...thats what they are there for. All I'm saying is that if you are going to do a carrier comparison you should be comparing the same manufacturers of handsets on different networks. Since the iPhone is exclusive with at&t and notrious for poor radio performance in shouldn't be lumped into the same tests. Some third party companies have even refused to use the iphone in their own independent network tests ...

Thats interesting. I wonder how many of those surveyed were iPhone users...because anyone thats been paying attention the last 2 years knows the iPhone drops calls when a normal at&t phone wouldn't. I think it would be a more accurate report if it was comparing blackberry to blackberry since they make phones for every provider. Or htc vs htc etc... I'm all about getting down to the truth but its easy to poke holes in a lot of these studies.

Nothing new here. Consumer reports readers have been slamming at&t for years. I wonder what the average age demographic was for the readers surveyed. Everyone I know that subscribes to consumer reports is 50+ Anyone that is young knows how to get ratings without paying a monthly subscription.

I've been in wireless for 8 years. All in retail. I do empathize with you in many ways. Recently I had a customer come in spend 40 minutes talking plans just to "think it over"(go to a store closer to their house and port all three lines just to come back to my store to transfer all their contacts and show them how to use their phones) While in the back of my mind it made me very angry ...

I'd try and find someone else that has an iPhone or at&t service and run a speedtest side by side. Its possible your handset is defective.

They are putting self service machines into stores because long term it will save them money instead of hiring expensive employees like yourself. I'm fairly confident that brick and mortar stores will be close to obsolete in the next 30 years with technological advancements and fierce competition in online pricing.

I've seen that issue before and it has been the iPhone that was the issue not the network. Somehow the radio has gone bad. The way to know for sure is to put your SIM into a different phone and see what happens. Let us know!

I've seen store managers make anywhere from 24-80k in the indirect side. It all depends on who you work for, the location your in, and your performance.

I think you would be able to tell us! Why don't you do some simple tests. MAke a call side by side, do a data speed test. See which one is more reliable. In general, the iphone doesn't pull strong signal anyway. Try a blackberry torch on at&t and see the bars go up! I have a samsung captivate and it is pretty reliable even with one bar of 3g coverage. But I do run into issues at home ...
