Not sure why you'd have to have a second iPhone just to send a text (understanding there's a joke to be had here). I send texts while on calls all the time, and have for several years.

Maybe I'm just playing the devil's advocate here, but if you're going to make a joke about simultaneous usage on CDMA, they should get the facts right.

I am not sure what the demand is to surf the web while talking on the phone is...

If checking email or updating facebook during a phone call is THAT important, why can't people wait 5 mins until the phone call is over? Who talks on the phone longer than that anyway?

I've texted on a call many times. I just can't understand the importance of that level of multitasking. Apparently the person on the other side of the phone call isn't important enough for someone to wait.

Only acceptable excuse: giving directions. could be handy but not a deal breaker for cell service.

As someone who sits on 40 minute conference calls every day, it is nice to be able to do both. Its also nice on those calls to be able to read/respond/compose emails...or atleast post on facebook about how much I love conference calls ;)

Will be funnier when they try the iPhone on the slower Verizon network and the FaceTime has even more of a lag!

When did FaceTime start supporting cellular data connections, anyway?

When I have long calls, I'm typically home or in the office and use WiFi for simultaneous voice/data. Maybe if I weren't near a hotspot anyway, I could see the need.
