moto droid 1
this has definently happened to me before, quite a few times. it was around the times when the moto droid was calling people on its own. i sell phone, it was NOT a user error.
am i missing something?
i can turn my droid into a wifi hotspot (only tried 1 device) and i have tethering through easytether.... so did i miss something?

yeah my brother has sprint and aside from billing issues from time to time, he loves it. and i have some friends who had nothing but problems with it. and they were in the same town lol. go figure. :D

and are u brainwashed by the gsm networks? because as far as i know, it takes 3 gsm towers to get the same coverage as 1 cdma tower. thats why att had really horrible service when they went from tdma to gsm. they just put gsm on their towers, and didnt add new ones.

htc imagio better then the droid? and the omnia 2? come on. if the screen is not capacitive then it wont touch the droid. or the iphone. only thing better about the omnia 2 is the oled display. and it is resistive. thats a joke.
the imagio only has the fm transmitter. and what good is 5mp with no flash??

i was curious if anyone got the tethering to work on their iphones, and if so did att charge them for tethering. im on an account wit the fam, and i think the bill went from like 130 to 200. anyone getting charged for tethering??

i googled it. sorry i dont have more info but i did it a while ago, so i dont remember details. i googled it and it brought me to a youtube video of how to do it, and it worked very well. i dont think the tethering works as well as, say, my nokia n85. but it does work. what i do like about the iphone is all i have to do is plug it in and it turns ...

i got my tethering to work too. download speeds arent too bad, but upload is horribly slow. gotta love at&t lol
How I got mms working
I'm still on 3.0.1 cause 3.1 isn't jailbroken. U have yo google it but there is a carrier bundle u have to update, it changes AT&T from 4.0 to 5.0. I did this a while ago and I'm not home so I don't have specifics, but that's how I got the mms feature available, but it didn't work till they released 3.1. I hope this helps

right, they confirmed mms, but didnt confirm 3.1 my phone is running 3.0.1 and i have mms. they are gonna release a carrier bundle (at&t 5.0, not the current 4.0) and att is gonna unblock the mms feature. but its not 3.1

My phone is on 3.0.1 and I have the option for mms, but AT&T doesn't support it yet. If u google how to enable mms u find a file, I think it is AT&T 5.0 and not 4.0 which is the current release. But 3.1 would be nice, but not likely on the 25th

i did, i had a demo line when i worked for vzw and no am no longer with them, so neither is my demo line. i sold the storm to a friend, and bought a 3gs.

u can always make the font bigger, thats one thing i love about blackberries and dont like about my iphone. and honestly i hardly made mistakes typing on the storm. i did make some, but could do multiple sentences without error. after using all the recent bb's with the exception being the tour, i would say the iphone 3gs keyboard is the best. it just works, though i cant type a full word without the click sound, that sounds ...

my data is unlimited on my 3gs. and honestly, i used to work for vzw and have all the vzw phones, and now i have att and coverage depends on area. u might not want to believe it, but sprint doesnt work everywhere, neither does vzw or att or tmobile. in my area i think att is faster data wise then vzw and sprint (friends have sprint), but vzw voice call is better then att. its all about ur ...
locking messaging
hey im new to iphones, just got my 3gs and love it. my only question is can i lock the messaging folder? a lot of people look at my phone cause of where i work. can i get an app or setting that will require a password for messaging? also, if i could get an app for locking the pictures would be great. thanks for the help :)

to add to what sseymour said, the two networks are entirely different, not just data. the voice is different, and currently, they dont (i dont beleve) they make a cdma sim card.
basically, no iphone on verizon unless apple makes one for verizon.

i havent tried bell's official .122, but after using the leaked .122, i went with the .113. hawk is running .113 as well. i think .113 is better overall, although i havent used the official bell .122. i used the hybrid v1 and the hybrid v2, and i think so far .113 is the best.

in my opinion, use .113. there is a .exe file, and i think it works much better then .122. i used .122 for 2 days and didnt like it. really slow and lagish, but could be my phone.
PANDORA and otterbox
ok 2 things.
pandora came out for the storm and i think its great, i got rid of slacker. im new to pandora, but must say im impressed, and its free.

anyway, the voice dialing by default is the left button, and the camera is on the right. it is avr (advanced voice recognition) so there is no setup involved. just say the name in the phonebook you would like to call. with a bt headset, all the voice commands work a lil differently, refer to the bt owners manual ...

still like 3.5? i was using .122, and it just wasnt right, maybe it was my phone, but it was slow and stuff. i have v2 hybrid and liked it, but most are saying .113 is great, so im trying that now. let us know how v3.5 is workin for ya in a few days.
