Rumors say it will be "soon" although the actual word "soon" has been used to answer this question since December of last year.

Reality is, we will probably get little warning about when or even what OS version will be released. Other carriers are releasing newer versions so thats a good sign.

To expand upon Hawkeye remarks, Verizon appears to be exhibiting behavior designed to inhibit the attractiveness of the original Storm in favor of positioning itself to create a market for the next upgrade.

Subscribers will be inclined to wait for their contract upgrade, pay more money for the Wifi Storm 2, and in effect, make the original Storm a by-product of glitches, non-patched operating systems (.75), and make it the forerunner for "bigger and better things."

I have come to a conclusion that it is not in Verizon's best interest to support this phone. An effort to improve this version will diminish appeal for the followup (WiFi). Is there any other conclusion this time lapse can logically explain? The silence for Verizon suppo...

............ You are in college! that was a fun thesis. i would have ended it with ... support is " deafening" and I'm going to open their eyes when i go on a 7 state shooting rampage starting with Verizon Corp. in Tampa in which where i will use my Storm as a GPS location device to where i placed all of my wall mines to bring down their Pillar of Lies and deceit all while using their great nationwide coverage that will allow me to set them off with the sweet Bomb detonating app i purchased off of crackberry.com.

Professor Twizted...yes, I was in college many moons ago (probably as much time elapsed as it will take the Messiah Verizon to come up with a freakin update)!

My philosophy has been formulated by exposure to Verizon sales "experts" telling me OS .75 does not hurt and have a temperature πŸ™„

Will I run wild in a Verizon store? Can see it happening one way......On the day of the big announcement, and it will be big (people jumping off roof's because they trashed the phone the day before)....My phone dies 2 minutes before the announcement. 10 Seconds later...right in to the wall!!!! 😁

I wouldn't dare download any software unless it is approved by Verizon. I don't want to deal with messing up my existing operating system or getting viruses. I'll just keep on waiting. No other choice. Very frustrated...

millions of people use leaked software on blackberrys everyday. it is a lot safer than you think.

if your not happy, go to .113. you will most likely be happy with that one

Have a set of balls!!! Do you know how many people have leaked OS and Hybrid OS on their Storm? Thousands!!

I use to be a "OMG I wouldn't dare do such a thing" person, and I got sick and tired of waiting for Verizon to pull it's head from it's ass and release a new OS.

You have other choices, use them!! The Storm can do a lot, just not with .75.

OK I'll consider downloading an unauthorized upgrade. But first, I have a few questions:
1. Does Blackberry Rim in Motion Company know about these non-supported downloads?
2. Who actually leaks them?
3. Are these leakers techies who work for RIM?
4. Is Verizon aware of these non-supported downloads?
5. Do they give a damn?
6. How do you know it won't screw up my current .75 operating system?
7. Does these bootleg downloads carry viruses with them?
8. If I download a bootleg download, will it void my Verizon warranty?

Thank you and please reply. Much appreciated.

since i come to this forum everyday.. ill answer your questions to the best of my knowledge.. SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG! LOL!

1)yes
2)Rim themselves.. unless you download a hybrid os
3)someone from inside rim leaks them out
4)yes, actually some of the people on this forum works for verizon and they have leaked os's running
5)im sure they do..
6)after reading reviews it seems like a low chance of it getting bricked
7)check out crackberry.com for links of os downloads..read what others have to say about the os before you download it, usually they will say its working great or they dont like it..
😎yes, but you can always downgrade back to .75 and verizon will never know what happened..

hopefully i'll have time to upgrade eith...

.113 best on far... but then i have heard the hybrids have been good but kinda at least the reg os leaks are from RIM so i feel a little safer then messing with hybrids.. if your going to brick it would probably be from outside sources not RIM.
