WiMax

What does everyone think about Sprint going to WiMax? What are they going to do with their CDMA networks? What will WiMax handsets do? Is WiMax going to be a global competitor for CDMA or GSM?

@Home-you CAN fax, but is it FULL Caller ID?

Hello Everyone,

I've just confirmed with T-Mob that you can use a fax machine with the home phone service and long as your fax machine just plugs into your regular line. If you fax machine requires a separate port, then you can't use it.

What I'd really like to know is if the Caller ID is the full name and number like in regular home phone lines, or is it just the phone number like usual in cell phones.

Thanks

Sprint airave battery drain

Has anyone experienced battery drain while using Spring's Airave?

Any solutions?

One explanation I've read is that a phone with a data plan continually cycles between the nearest cell tower (for data) and the Airave unit (for phone coverage).

This appears to make sense since my wife's Katana DLX experiences no battery drain (no data plan and data is disabled), and my Sanyo Pro 700 experiences complete battery drain in about three hours.

Any thoughts?

Themes and the blackberry 7100i

I have the blackberry 7100i and downloaded a new theme to put onto my phone. It went through the whole process and now I can't find it in my phone to put it on there. I talked with a lady from bb support from nextel and she said that the only themes that would work are the 3 that are on the phone already. I find that hard to believe. Could somebody please help me and tell me where to go in my phone so I can get this?

Thanks

Sprint Mogul

I am curious if it is possible to put Palm OS on the Mogul handset. Window has a lot of issues and I really prefer the Palm OS. The Mogul has a really nice keyboard and the touch screen makes it more than par for the course. Tech's have any suggestions?

Sprint Phone Upgrade - Looking for Advice

New to the boards so hope this is in the correct forum. I am looking to upgrade my current Sprint phone and I cannot find anything that meets all of my needs(wants). I am on a family share Sprint plan and will be keeping the carrier service so I am only looking at Sprint phones.

My needs are pretty basic
1) good reception
2) decent battery life
3) durability

I have looked at the Sanyo Katana series and they seem to have the reception and battery but when holding them in the store it feels like a good sneeze could break them in half. Also, don't like the idea of the internal antennae being located at very bottom of phone where I will unavoidably cover it up when talking .

I have looked at the Samsung M20. It has some nice feat...
