tutor: unlock TILT for Sprint

I'm new to this whole phone unlocking thing. I'm thinking of purchasing a HTC Tilt phone that is made for AT&T and then using it on my Sprint account.

Is this possible? How should I go about doing it?

If it isn't possible, can someone recommend a good PDA-Phone that uses Windows Mobile that I can unlock for Sprint?

Thanks

Saving emails on a server after deleting from Moto Q

I am looking for the setting on a Motorola Q that enables you to delete a message from the phone but will not delete it from the server. I am needing to be able to see the messages I have deleted when I log into the server at work. 😁

Instinct Strikes Fear Into the Heart of Fanboys Everywhere!!!

Here it is, the top ten signs you MIGHT be a fanboy...

10. If you've ever made up a false statistic about iPhones, and posted it in a forum, you might be a fanboy.

9. If you refuse to recognize CLEARLY better features on other phones, you might be a fanboy.

8. If you pissed your pants out of fear of REAL competition, you might be a fanboy.

7. If you lose sleep at night because you can't stop all the images of Samsung, Sprint, and RevA running through your head, you might be a fanboy.

6. If you've had a good long talk with your iPhone making sure it knows that its the best and nothing will ever change that, you might be a fanboy.

5. If you feel it is your duty to post in every forum on the ENTIRE internet about how great the...

Sprint OpenWeb Update

Sprint OpenWeb Update

Published by Dennis March 18th, 2008 in Content Adaptation and Carriers.

I've found out a little more about the OpenWeb transcoder that US CDMA/EVDO provider Sprint is rolling out which I wrote about last week. If you missed that piece, Sprint has added a transcoder from OpenWave called OpenWeb to at least some of their WAP gateways. The stated purpose of OpenWeb is to transform full web pages that wouldn't be usable on handsets into something mobile friendly. The problem is that the OpenWeb software modifies the browser's http headers, removing some and adding others which breaks many off-portal content (ringtone, wallpaper, game) delivery services. OpenWeb also transcodes many mobile websites that don't need it...

Cell hot spots cannabilize carrier-based mobile broadband?

hey folks,
i've been reading about the new "cell phone as a wifi hotspot" offerings from cradlepoint, wmvwifirouter, and taproot systems.

my question - how will carriers react to potential customers declining a carrier's mobile broadband plan and instead those customers just go with a cell phone hotspot?

sprint's mobile bb costs $60/mon (unlimited), for example.

will carriers simply limit phones from being used as such hotspots (i'm referring specifically to when the cell phone owner is already subscribing to that carrier's
"data" plan, such as sprint's Power Vision, etc)?

why would any carrier allow its mobile bb service to be cannabilized by its users creating their own cell phones hotspots?

won't buying a cell hotspot de...

Alltel Future Phones?

Hey forum members,
This is just a quick forum thread wondering what phones you think are gonna be good phones for Alltel. I am going to be renewing a contract late this Summer and just wondering if any of you could give me a heads up on some phones that will be coming down the pipe. Thanks!

U-740 and VZW mobile email

Does somebody ran into my same problem and maybe found a solution?
When I'm using the mobile email client to do emails from my mobile who's receiving them is seeing a serie of question marks instead of sender's name. It looks like the email client on the phone doesn't have a field where you can put your name to be used as sender, or anyway I couldn't find it.

Thank you.

I need some help about disabling DeepFreeze

Does anyone here know how to disable DeepFreeze? I had it enabled a couple of days ago, and now I want to disable it.
Everytime I click the DeepFreeze icon, a prompt pops up and says that DeepFreeze should be disabled first before uninstalling.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
