Does anyone happen to know....

I have Cingular service, and the last week or so I have been getting a couple of text messages from 3020. When I open the message, it says "Mobile Email OZMail" with letters and numbers listed.

Has anyone else seen or heard about this? I have not intentionally signed up for mobile email or mobile alerts.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have!!!

Scottsdale Coverage Wireless Broadband

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

I have to attend a conference at the Princess Fairmont Hotel. Does anyone have a preference for broadband wireless coverage? I have to present a website at the conference and the hotel is charging $500 per computer access, per day!

This would almost pay for broadband wireless for the year.

Thanks again.

Razr Bluetooth Battery issue

Hey everyone, quick question.I posted this in a couple of forums. Does the bluetooth earpieces really drain your batteries that fast. I just got my Razr about 3 weeks ago and it was fine, but I noticed once I got the Plantronics 510 headset my battery dropped very fast. I had the phone on full charge and after about 45-60 min of talking the battery was completely dead. But I have a friend that has the same phone with the Jabra 250 headset and he said he can talk for about 3 to 4 hours before his phone is dead.

VZW gave me a new battery, and they said that the bluetooth does drain the battery but I dont think it should drain it like that. Should it? Or does it matter which bluetooth headset I get??

thanks in advance

LG VX9800 - verizon wireless mobile web 2.0

Help!- I just bought a new LG VX9800 phone - it has internet connectivity via verizon wireless mobile web 2.0 . When I try and access my company's e-mail access portal for outside users via internet - (we are using Microsoft exchange 2003) - I get a message "security error untrusted server certificate" - given this phone does not have a true operating system, what can I do to get around this or fix it- our IT is generally cooperative but I'd like to offer them a solution.
thanks

for all you verizon customers who need to learn how to pair your bluetooth

the verizon web site just added a section where you can get a detailed printout on how to pair your blueotth with your certain phone model, check out the website and while your there learn about free back up assistance, it saves your number on the verizon web site so if you ever lose your phone you can still get your number, and by the way its a free application if you sign up on the website

Music Transfer from Mac to 8600

Being a long-time Mac guy, you can imagine my disappointment when I read that my new 8600 won't accept music transfers! There's apparently no Mac version of MS's MediaPlayer 10.
Anyone aware of a work around other than seeking out a friend with Windows XP?
Thanks much.

It looks like WiMAX will be deployed late 2007 by Sprint

Sprint's time line launch for WiMAX appear to be a bit ahead of schedule, based on a PR today. Chicago and Washington DC are to be the first cities for deployment of WiMAX in the later part of 2007. LG Electronics, Intel, Nokia, Samsung and Motorola all are involved to one degree or another in the developement and deployment of Sprint's WiMAX. Here's the URL for the complete Sprint PR:

using PDA for stock trading... questions

Hello. I'm brand new to the forum. I'm a Cingular customer with the opportunity to 'upgrade' from my ancient V180 basic cellphone. I need a phone (PDA?) that will allow me to access live streaming stock quotes as well as place trades. I have NO experience using PDAs or smart phones. I'm assuming I'd need a PDA for this purpose. I'd also like the device to have a decent camera on board. Can anyone advise me as to which phone might measure up the best? Also, if you are using a PDA for this purpose, I would be VERY grateful for your direct response to my email at: savapet@aol.com.
Thanks very much. 🙄

MEdia Net and Laptop

I am going to be purchasing a W810i soon for use with my MacBook Pro. I currently have a Motorola E815 on VZW and with unlocked bluetooth so I can use it for DUN.

I was wondering if I can do something like this with my W810i. I am ok with getting a MEdia Max package if this would allow me to get online unlimited and no airtime charges. I only really use this for work on weekends.

Any help would be great. Thanks so much
