Not Feelin' It

Feb 27, 2008 by meltymint14

This is a very nice phone, for two years ago. Yes, I have had this phone for over two years and it was VERY cool at the time. Now, it is just bothersome.

Pros:
1. It is skinny- very nice in school... if you know what I mean...
2. The sound is clear and crisp, along with a variety of sound controls.
3. The screen is decently big.

Cons:
1. The camera SUCKS! I loved the camera at first, then it turned really bad and takes horrible pictures.
2. Texting. The keys are difficult and the T9 mode isn't really T9, or maybe in the two years I've had it, I haven't figured it out.
3. No external wallpapers! I really wish I could put a different picture on the outside.
4.VERY slow....... I M e a n i t i s v e r y s l o w . . . .

Overall, I don't believe I would recommend this to a friend unless they want to use it for the signal and just for calling.

From the Horses Mouth

I sell the Sprint versions of this RAZR. Sprint has had a lot of poor phones but this phone by far tops them all. Out of every 6 of these I sell 5 will come back for the following reasons even if we sufficiently warned the customer. This is the case for both the red and grey version of the RAZR.

Cons: -----------------------------------
Battery Life Problems:
1) Phones will often die within 4 hours after having been fully charged with no phone usage.
2) Phone will only provide 2 hours of talk time before battery death.
3) Phone will indicate dead battery and will switch off and once rebooted it will indicate full battery.

Freezes and Crashes:
1) Phone will freeze and or crash if call comes in while using another application.
2) Phone has abnormal amounts of lag when dialing phone numbers or typing text messages.
3) Phone will crash while attempting to connect to internet and or bluetooth.

Bluetooth:
1) Phone has major problems connecting to bluetooth devices that are not Motorola branded where sometimes it will connect easily and other moments it will not connect and bluetooth profile will have to be deleted and re-entered for connection to succeed.
2) Excessive lagginess while bluetooth is enabled or crashes while bluetooth is enabled and trying to use other applications.

Phantom Keys:
1) Phone will dial itself when opened.
2) Key presses do not register correctly EX: Customer presses the #1 and the #9 appears on the screen or at times two digits when only one is pressed.

Screen Death (Screens will turn black at random)
Poor Quality Camera
Memory Card Placement
Finicky Charging Port (may take some wiggling of cord to register)
Everyone and thier dog has one.

Pros:---------------------------------------
Looks neat
Has a cool sounding name

Pros: ------------------------------------

This phone BLOWS

I have had 7 razors in the past year. this is the worst phone i have everrrrrr in my whole life owned!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

metro pcs razr sucks

Mar 4, 2007 by youssef4

the metroPCS razr is not at all worth the $250 dollars that it sells for. If you talk on it for more then 2 hours the battery is completely gone. the reception isnt the greatest either especailly for metropcs.

pros:

easy to navigate menu
bluetooth
slim and stylish
good quality ringers
8x zoom

cons:

no mp3
bad camera
chips easily
short battery life

this phone is not that bad, but not to good either, but it is not at all worth the 300 dollars that was asked for this in june

unreliable phone

I have not owned one personally, but have sold RAZR's under Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon. Good looking phone, but the UI on all is interesting to utilize, especially since it keep locking up. I currently work for Verizon, and have had as many as 3 people a DAY come in and ask my why their RAZR is acting up; most of those questions come within two months of owning the phone. Some come later on, but I have seen numerous software glitches on Verizon, and have had many Cingular friends despise the phone.

Flimsy? If not taken care of, it will snap, scratch easily, and spider-web the screen. I only sell one if the customer asks for nothing else, and does not ask my opinion. I steer people away from that phone whenever possible. Aside from being one of the most popular phones in US cellular history, the RAZR does not measure up to the hype.

Horrible phone!!!!!

this phone is a piece of junk! I hate it, the reception is horrible, I loose calls all the time. The ringtones get screwed up. The software has millions of bugs, and almost never works. people make a huge deal about how great the razr is but it is junk! I had to use the insurance twice to replace the piece of crap that I babied by the way because it when nuts both times. And the one I have now it still screwed up. One of them when crazy dropped calls and wouldn't let me give or recieve texts, when white and black screen and then died. The next one did static accross the screen and dropped calls, oh, and the static also turned the screen purple and green making the picture of my boyfriend look like barney. Now my ringtones get messed up, the phone resets all of the personal settings and the reception is horrible. If you are thinking about this phone please, you are better off throwing money to the wind than buying this. You will just hate the phone, and tear your hair out in the process. There is nothing good about this phone. I only hope that they stop selling it soon.

absolutely RIDICULOUS!!

can I just say that this is the worst, and i mean worst phone I have ever come across in my 19 years of living on planet earth. Obviously people are finally starting to figure it out. now when you go to stores they are practicially giving the phone for free when it used to be atleast 300 dollars. They should pay the customer to take the phone instead of charging the customer... expecially because of all the headaches the customer will have due to the phone after the purchase.

my advice is...
if your thinking about getting the razor...
re think it..
go with the sprint a900 BLADE.
it has an MP3 player, satelite radio, EVDO which is like cable modem internet speed.
dont wate time or money on the razor,
it will be the biggest mistake you could ever make

Good features, but really slow

Feb 11, 2007 by grimesrl

I guess I was fooled by the overall treniness of the phone. It had everything I wanted in a phone to include speaker phone (which is not loud enough), a camera, voice recognition, and blue tooth capable. The biggest problem with the phone is that it is constantly locking up. It is so slow when you push a button that you literally have to sit there and wait for it to complete its task. This has occured since I bought it. I was hoping someone had the same problem and fixed it...any help? grimesrl@gmail.com

HEADSET VOLUME

Is there anyway to increase the volume?

the v3m from sprint sucks

Jun 8, 2007 by lithium09

i have the razr v3m through sprint. im 16 and rite now im forced to have sprint because parents only want it. im not on a family plan or anything but its what they want. anywayz this phone was ok at first. the battery life sucks if you have a micro sd card in the phone. w/o it it lasts dramatically longer. i have no clue why. the durability of this phone is a joke. i have the red razr and love the color but it is not durably at all. i dropped it once and it landed on the back side of the phone and what happens . . . the screen on the front cracks right in half. that pissed me off so much because the sliver v3m from verizon is so much more durable. my friend has on and she has dropped it everywhere including the bathtub where the water damage sticker turned the water red and she even threw it at me missed hit a brick and nothing happened except a few scracthes. mine has been having so many problems. i didnt have it a week and it started goin on the fritz. first it keeps freezing and reseting. next i got deactivated out of nowhere. none of my other phones have deactivated themselve cept this one. another thing is when i get a txt message i have it set for a ringtone and when i open it sometimes it freezes up and wont stop playn the ringtone over and over for nothin. even if you close it. you have to take out the battery which is hard to do in a hurry if you have a case on it so you dont drop it and crack the screen again. sprint people dont help either. when i got deactivated they didnt even know why. stay away from sprint and stay away from the red razr. they both suck.
