SO far so good!

Oct 12, 2006 by PCap79

Got the phone 2 days ago and so far so good. I use the phone for making and receiving calls and txting. For those purposes it has been great. No delay going between menus or with any of the keys. Feels solid. The size is great. Same recption and signal strength as I was getting with my E815 (which I traded in for to get the RAZR)

The only things I do not like about it are that you can't change the home keys (only the down key), kind of a pain in the *** to get ringtones, can't adjust volume with the phone closed (using side buttons)

Just did the SEEM edit...very simple to do...and it unlocked alot of features.

Knock on wood...but so far it's a great phone for what I use it for

Ed. note: Edited for language

Best Phone to Date!!!

Oct 10, 2006 by JENI729

I was in a v3c for 7 months and 2 months ago I switched into a chocolate! Good phone... needless to say though I am back in the Razr only this time I am in a v3m! This phone performs just as great as my v3c. It has the best reception to date in my area (on the lake). I love this phone.
Pros: GREAT reception, sleek design, big clear screen, big keys, its Motorola
Cons:None that I can think of
I think Motorola fell for a while but I definately think they are #1 now! I would not pay any attention to the negetive reviews on this phone!

Great Phone

I've been researching phones for the past year, waiting for my ne2 to upgrade. Every time I looked at a newer phone, I'd come back to the razr. After a month, I am still happy with my choice. I have pink, but only b/c it has a sturdier interior, not plastic like the other one. Never drops calls, always connects, the calls are clear, the ringer loud. I wish it would ring & vibe at same time, but not a deal breaker. The phone is BIG so the screen is clear and bright, but thin so it slips into pockets easily. The keys are not on top of each other. Voice dial is great. I've dropped it several times - not even a scratch. I must say after using both, my daughter's E815 is still superior to the razr, but this one looks better and is proving durable as well.

AWSOME PHONE

The motorola V3c is by far the best phone I ever had! Coming from the LG VX6100 it is a big upgrade. I dont prefer the holster from verizon. It scratches your phone. And the case that they ofer at the store i was dissappointed at because the clip was non detachable. I prefer the Body Glove/ Cell Suit found at wal mart for $16 or $17 bucks.
Overall a great phone
Pros-
EVERYTHING

Cons-
NO VIBRATE AND RING

Not as Good As I thought!

This was supposed to be the coolest thing out in a long time. right? ya not really.

CONS
-the menu system is slow. granted not as slow at the v3 but still slow.
-reception in most areas is very poor.
-sound quality on the phone isn't good at all.
-playing mp3's sounds awful.
-main lcd screen seems to get dust in it for some reason.

PROS
-its size. easy to get into a pocket.
that's about it.

so over all i'm not impressed at all. i'm taking mine back and waiting til the lg 8600 comes out.

Love It!

Ive only had it for just about a month, but so far its amazing.

I love the look and feel of the phone, camera is great and so is the sound quality.

my major con is the vzw operating system, i miss the old system that i had on my v330, it was a lot easier to understand!

Not a good phone.

Mar 28, 2008 by kbabyyy

I bought this phone about a year ago, and at first I thought that it was a very good phone. But, I kept having to go back to my local Sprint store and complain about something that kept going wrong.
In January 2008 (about a year after I had gotten it) they gave me another RAZR because they said that I was one of the first people to get them when they first came out and they first phones were terrible.
Well, I thought that my problems were over, but that was just the beginning.
I had to go back to the store 3 or 4 times to get my battery switched out. My keys would get stuck and call different people from my contacts.

PROS-
Nice outside look

CONS-
Battery life
Speed is really slow
Freezes
Whenever I would send a text and I have all bars of service, the message wouldn't send so I'd have to turn off the phone wait a few seconds and turn it back on.
Camera quality isn't too good

Garbage

Had this phone three days with Verizon. There are no PROs to this phone. Only a long grocery list of CONs. it looks and feels cheap and as far as making and receiving calls even worse. I never bother to write reviews. Trust a mega shopper on this one. STOP and just say NO! Even if they offer it for free it's just not worth the trauma or the drama with the carrier.

I'd rate it in the negative if I could.

All I'm going to say is: buyer beware.

If you're looking for a phone without a tampered platform (Verizon's fault), a phone that is even moderately durable, or a phone without a litany of screen problems, look elsewhere.

buttons come off

Jun 28, 2007 by itsjustmejanie

When I first got the razr it was the V3 from Verizon Wireless. I loved it and had no problems with it. Then I noticed that the middle round button (the "ok", or "menu" button) was loose. I was extra careful when hitting that button after that. One day, it just fell off and I couldn't find it. Luckily the verizon store exchanged the phone for me and I got the upgraded version, the V3m. Again I have no complaints with call quality and it works beautifully with my blue tooth. I have had this new phone roughly 6 months now and i have been especially careful to avoid hitting that middle button as much as possible. In the menu I use the number keys to navigate. Still, that button is lose and the other day it fell off. I was able to slide it back on (it is only held onto the phone with some kind of rubber glue). Today I noticed that the outer ring around the ok is also loose so it will probably be the next one to go. I am not eligible for a new phone until the end of year and I am getting tired of this. The sad thing is I really like the phone.

So anyway I recommend the phone as long as you don't care about the looks of the buttons when you open it up because they will fall off.
