LG CU500

I ordered headphones for my LG CU500, but they were made for the VX8100. My question is, is it still compatible? I mean there both LG phones, and they both use 2.5mm. Are they compatible?

Is there a zoom anywhere on this phone? I can't seem to find it. It would make since that there would be considering it's 1.3 and even the most basic VGA has one. Let me know. Myself and a customer are both curious.

I just ordered headphones for the CU500, but the ones i ordered are SGEY0003301. tht's the model number. my question is, will it still work with the cu500 since it's LG? for a second, i THOUGHT i saw lg's site say it was compatibile, but when i went bak, it wasn't there anymore :S. anyone know if it is?

I'm so excited! Fed Ex will be here bright and early on Tuesday to deliver my new CU500. I hope I'm not disappointed, this is my first LG. I got it for a great price too, I had a 10 dollar credit toward a new phone because cingy screwed up major on a bill from a few months ago, the phone was 150, but with the 100 dollar credit it only cost me 50 bucks!! If I don't like it I can see it on E bay for a lot more that what i payed for 😉 . But from what i have heard, I think I will be happy with this phone.

1. Has anyone out there yet used the stereo bluetooth to listen to mp3's through bluetooth headphones yet? This option is appealing to me, but I am curious about the quality.

2. What is the largest capacity microSD card this phone will accept? 512 or 1 gig?

Love this phone, but my house has poor 3G coverage. The phone goes back & forth from 3G & GSM every few minutes. This drained my battery, and sometimes drop calls inside my house.

At last, I went back to Cingular and de-activated 3G. They gave me free SIM card that was re-programmed to GSM. I no longer have $19.99 media net because no more high speed internet without 3G.

My battery life is now about 5 hours talk. Recharge every other day. Believe it or not, the sound quality is better. No more asending & decending volume during calls. The 3G signal indicator is still on, but my phone only receives GSM signals.

Do miss the high speed internet though ☹️

Have any of you tried browsing on the internet and went to a website that the phone cannot keep up w/ all the pics/text to cache it? The browser says "out of memory" ... "disconnecting."

Have any of you heard if there is a way to let the Micro-SD take on the cache of websites? This is the only downfall to this phone imo is not having enough internal memory to cache big websites.

I have the equalizer set to 3D Stereo but at high volumes, whether playing mp3s or MobiRadio, the speaker gets a bit scratchy. It's tolerable but certainly not crystal clear sound. Anyone else notice this?? Could I have a defective speaker or is this vibrational noice to be expected on a cell phone? Thanks.

The USB cable had to be installed very odd but it works and is installed correctly. I have the phone set on mass storage but, windows does not see the phone?

I bought San Disk 1gig Micro SD yeserday. I use memory card reader/writer. My pc recognizes micro SD as another drive. I open my music collection. I just drag my music selection to that drive. Then I put it in to the phone, and I'm enjoying the music. The only problem, I organize the music by genre but the phones doesn't recognize it. It sees all songs in that card.

What's up with this Data Network prompt that pops up everytime I try to use google maps mobile. I see two options:

Yes, always ask.
No, never grant.

There is no option to only ask once? Any way to get around this issue in the settings? I've looked everywhere, but no luck. Perhaps there's an upgrade somewhere?

Wolfgangsvault.com has an awesome internet radio...will I be able to listen to it through this phone? If so, will I need to pay Cingular for a particuler service such as Media Net? Thanks.

I am going to buy this phone next week, but i was just wondering does it come with headphones or do i have to buyt hem seperately. i know the usb cable doesn't coem with the phone, but i wanted to know about the headphones. and also how much internal memory does the phone have??? thanks

i just got this phone recently and is there a way to lock this phone so that evry time u open the phone u have to put in a password or some kind of lock? i go to school and i dont like putting my phone in lockers wen i go to the weight room or football practice b/c the lockers can easily be ripped opened . stupid cheap school lockers! thanks

This phone is going to be the truth. I am not the biggest fan of LG. However, I am a fan of how they have been out of the gate first lately utilizing new Cingular services. The were the first launch a PTT phone, UMTS phone, and now it's time for HSDPA. Nice work LG.

does anyone know where i can download a app to put music on trans flash card ?

how would you transfer music from the computer to the phone. Do you just plug the usb cord in the phone and computer and start downloading. And also THIS QUESTION IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. CAN YOU JUST DOWNLOAD SONGS FROM LIMEWIRE STRAIGHT TO THE PHONE OR NO.
