USB cable installed but no connection to LG CU500
The USB cable had to be installed very odd but it works and is installed correctly. I have the phone set on mass storage but, windows does not see the phone?

I just got my data cable & stereo headset "kit" from cingular an hour ago. đ
Indeed, the data cable does NOT see the phone's memory in mass storage mode. It will ONLY see the microSD card if it is inserted (I tried both ways - with & w/o uSD). đ
Another ANNOYANCE with this data cable is - it WON'T charge the phone. đĄ USB has 500 mA of 5.0V available - more than enough to charge this phones 3.7V battery. I can't imagine why LG wouldn't take advantage of this capability - especially since this cable occupies the same connector the charger would hook up to. âšī¸ So you can't use the data cable and AC power simultaneously.
As long as I'm complaining..... the headphones are not particularly nice either. Sound quality is OK,...

SORRY... I STAND CORRECTED !!!
There is an inline volume control on the stereo headset. Mine was set below maximum.
When set at MAX, the volume from the phone is adequate - perhaps not as loud as SOME of you headbangers would like đ

This means you don't have the correct USB cable. If it has a "box" somewhere on the cable, it will not work as a data cable. The one Cingular sells is a straight cable without anything on it...
