LG CU500

So this phone is a real MP3 player once you add the card?

dose the lg cu500 have a large internal display it looks about the same size as the internal display for the lg vx8000 😈

The most annoying thing about this phone (besides the comfirmation sound which cant be shut off) is the speed dial limit of 8 entries. i've had this phone for a about week now and i seem to always be going into the phonebook to make calls. I like this phone but something needs to be done. I hope LG has an update or something that gets rid of the limit

so far I've found this to be the most annoying aspect of the CU500. Does anyone have any idea how to make the ring tone one consistent volume? Without just giving up on the ring tone and switching to vibrate?

I am thinking about buying this phone but i have a quick question about it first. I am not sure how the music player works... i know i need to buy a usb cable for it but is there software that i need to buy for it too?

What does it look like on this phone?

I just bought this phone (LG CU500) and I can get it to work with my Motorola BlueTooth device to make hands free calls, anyone knows if this is compatible? Can someone walk me through setting bluetooth up? Any help will be appreciate.

Absolutely LOVE it. The acsending ringtone is kind of annoying, but it get's REALLY loud if you're in the other room. That and it is convenient in the fact that since it starts soft you can stop it before it gets too out of hand.

Does anybody know why when you activate the speaker phone and close the fold, why it hangs the call up? Is there a solution to this problem?

I may soon be a ex-Verizon subscriber, due to getting less and less reception. I read all about UMTS/HSPDA and was quite interested at the fact that Cingular has (or will have) similar technology as most areas of the world. Is it worth it getting this phone, or should I wait and just stick with an GPRS/EDGE currently offered by Cingular.

I am a national indirect agent and I just received the dummy phone for the CU500. If you hold the phone to your head like you are talking on it the hinge clicks in, and if you move it away from your face it clicks back. Is the real phone like this or is this just a crappy dummy phone??

Been playing with the phone for only a day now, I do like it, but there are some issues. (I am coming from a Sanyo 8300).

-No external indicator light that you have new voicemail/text message on phone unless you "power on" the screen by hitting a button or opening the phone. (Sanyo has a flashing indicator led on front) Biggest problem for me so far....

-The sound played when a new voicemail/text message is delivered is played only once. No setting to make it repeat every min or so until you check it(like on Sanyo).

-When using a network application, no option to Always Allow Application Network Access or something. Have to hit Allow everytime.

Has any one figure out how to turn off the verification tones that sound when a text message is sending, when a text message is sent, and when you change a setting on the phone? The tones are extremely annoying and I would like to know how to turn them off. I have gone through the entire menu (I'm currently borrowing the phone from one of my store to see how I like it and if it would be worth purchasing for myself) and I cannot find any where to turn these tones off. I would appreciate any help if it is available. Thanks!

I got my CU500 yesterday. Cingular said that Washington, DC had 3G coverage. But that coverage is lousy at best - I don't get 3G at my own house in the NW just north of Georgetown (Glover Park, near W).

Anyone else experiencing poor 3G coverage where Cingular says it should be good?

The thing I love about my nokia 6682 is that when I walk in the office it syncs up to my Outlook and that's it. Updates my calendar, contacts and notes on my phone.

Nokia's software also rocks, such that I can send TXT messages through my phone over bluetooth via the computer.... Browse the phone like it where a drive, etc. etc.

Anybody know if LG offers something similair?
