Nokia 6682 / 6681

I stupidly bought the wrong memory card for my 6682, and now that I have opened it, I can't return it.

Would anyone consider a trade, or possibly something for a minimal fee for a 512mb or 1gb dvmmc?

I have a 512mb rsmmc.

I was wondering how I could convert a Windows Media Video or WMV file to a playable format for this phone.

I have an unlocked 6682 and it didn't come with the Opera browser pre-installed. How do I get Opera on my phone? Can I download it using my phone or do I have to download it to my pc first and transfer it to my phone? I tried to download it directly from my phone but it didn't work, I just get a whole bunch of unrecognizable characters.

Does anyone know how to remove the firmware that Cingular put on the phone? Thanks.

What advantages are there in buying direct from nokia vs. from cingular. I hear cingular "cripples" some phone features. what should I do? Thanks

When I got my 6682, I deleted a few programs I was pretty sure I wouldn't need (the office suite, the included games among others) to save space. Now, I'm discovering a need for having Adobe Acrobat reader. I've browsed about the various Symbian sites, but I can't seem to find a downloadable Acrobat reader. Anyone know where I can get it again?

I deleted the Voice Signal voice recognition software app. using the application manager, but now when I play the voice tags I had recorded for my contacts, it just plays an empty tag for a split second.

Trying to Delete or Change the tag for an existing contact starts to delete or to let me record a new tag, but then it warns "Voice system error" and doesn't work. The voice tags work just fine with newly created contacts, though.

I had done a master reset on my phone (didn't solve the bugs tho) and restored the contacts from a back-up file on my PC. Do you think the voice tag info. was corrupted or mis-copied in the process? Or is this yet another bug with the phone? The voice tags were working fine before.

Has anyone ever had issues with the battery meter or signal strength meters? My phone just got flashed at Nokia Repair, but the battery meter never goes down until a reboot, and the signal meter always shows no signal, but I call in and out with no problems. Any ideas???

I had my Nokia 6682 flashed by Nokia but for some reason my SMS settings are blank. I found the SMS message center number but what is the SMS e-mail gateway and e-mail msg. center?

so my 6682 is up for sale.

nokia 6682 in box with all accessories and software.

it has the upgraded Firmware Flash and is at 4.6

secondary Black ruberised replacement case and original.

and Im going to include the Nokia HS-11W Bluetooth head set and a spare charging cord.

The going rate for a non-contracted phone seems to be 375 to 450 so with the headset and the extra case Im going to ask 400

Okay it says six hours talk, and eleven days standby, with minimal use my phone can barely make it three days. Anybody else? In fact the last three days I might have used it for five minutes.

I just got my phone back from Nokia Repair....what a nightmare...6 weeks and STILL has issues. Can anyone tell me of any problems heard with the battery display meter? First the battery just charged forever and never showed charged until I rebooted. Now it charges, BUT the battery meter NEVER depletes. It showed fully charged for 3 days and then just died without warning. So I recharged, and after 1 full day and no meter movement, I rebooted it it shows 2 bars depleted. Can someone PLEASE help? Nokia of course says they never heard of it before. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Anyone using a 1gb dv rs-mmc? Which brand works and which doesn't?

I had to get a new 6682 and installed the new version of voicesignal...Now the voicesignal does not start when the voice button on the top left is pressed. i get the nokia 6682 voice command and not voicesignal..how do i get voicesignal back to the button?

I've uploaded photos using the Nokia PC suite included with the phone and can view them on the phone w/o problems. However, when I set a photo as wallpaper, the image isn't as clear or sharp as when viewing in the gallery (on the phone).

I've tried resizing the pic, but nothing seems to be working. The wallpaper image is always blurry. Any suggestions? Or is my phone screwed? 😢

If I have a normal 6682 from Cingular, which is TriBand (850, 1900, 1800MHz), and purchase a pre-paid SIM card, can I use the phone in Brazil? Or do I need to unlock it for that specific purpose?

(From Googling on the subject, I was only able to find out that Brazil uses 900 & 1800 MHz GSM format.)
