Nokia 6682 / 6681

Does anyone know if there is a replacement on the way for this phone? It seems to have a really good feature set so I don't really understand why it was cancelled so fast. Any thoughts on what someone just getting into Cingular should do?

I was told by my Cingular store that they were expecting a shipment with the 6682 in it this week. When I called today to follow up, I was told there there has been a hold placed on the phone and that no more would be shipping. Does anyone know if this is true and why it might be?

Has anyone had or is having a problem with the send button while trying to make calls or answer them? Once in awhile, when I dial a phone number and then hit the send button and it doesn't call out or anything. Anyone having any problems like that or do I need to send it in?

i tryed using a picture for my background on my phone and i dont like it how do i remove it and get back to just having the theme on the background?

I want to get the phone unlock. I called Cingular and they told me they couldn't unlock it. Did anyone get the phone unlock from Cingular????????

I have some installed applications on my phone like Card Deck & SnakeEX. They are not in the application manager and when I do a hard reset, they don't go away. Why would an installed app. not disappear when you hard reset? HELP!!! I need them off my phone. They don't work properly and I dont want them using up space. Thanks!!!!

Need help on this one. How do you have no ringing volume for everything but the alarm clock?

Because of the office, I like to set my phone to vibrate only. But when it comes to the morning alarm clock which I was hope to rely on the 6682, I want the volume to be ON (since I am home).

Any ideas???

I have had the 6682 for about a month and a half, and just the past few days, my phone has been freezing about once per day. Or it will restart itself while I am in a menu screen. Also at nights, my phone turns off by its self, then when my alarm goes off, the phone asks if I would like to turn the phone back on.... Has anyone else had these problems??? Thank you.

has anyone used that on there (6680,81,82). or have it. does stereo sound come out or is it like a BT headset. plz let me know before i invest something that expensive

When I try to log into my Ebay account or access my Yahoo! Mail account, I get messages saying that my browser is not set to allow those pages to load.

I can access other secure sites, and log in to my other e-mail account, so why not these? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I have quite a few MP3s uploaded on my phone, and I'm using some of them as ringtones, but I was wondering if there is a program that I can download to edit segments out of those songs. I want to be able to create a seperate file of only the chorus of a song, or only a verse, and use those files as ringtones. Anyone have any suggestions...?

Just received my 6682 and love it. It is so much faster than my old 6620 (processor wise).

But, the only issue I have is that the installed ringers suck. I am looking for a basic ringer that sounds like a desk phone at the office. My 6620 came installed with one that was really nice.

Does anyone know a place to get one? Or, is there a way to pull the one from my 6620 and install on the 6682??

On my new 6682, how do I change all the background colors on a theme so it will match my user defined wallpaper?

Example: I have a Boston Bruins wallpaper that consists of the logo on a white background. When I set this as my wallpaper, I can't change the "top" and "bottom" of the screen to match the white. So it looks goofy as hell with the stock theme on the top and bottom.

Any software that will allow me to fix this?

This really limits using my own pics or downloaded wallpapers on my themes.

i travelled to asia a couple of weeks ago and was in Singapore for about 2 weeks...

bought an M1 simcard, pop it in and was talking on my baby in no time...it was great the whole time i was there...

the only thing i noticed was that when i was in the subway, i was getting no signal at all...the phone displayed M1-3GSM whenever it picks-up signal...however, my mom's phone (very basic nokia) would say M1-Mobile and her signal in the subway was perfect...i wondered if there was any difference in services between various SIM cards?

btw the 1gig card was awesome i took all kinds of videos and pictures...at the end of the trip i had taken over 500 pics and at least 20-30 videos and still had about 400mb left...sweet
