Nokia 6682 / 6681

I just paired a new Plantronics Discovery 655 with my Cingular 6682. It seems to be slightly flaky in that once it is connected, it spontaneously disconnects after about 60sec. It happens whether I'm on a call or not. Bluetooth stays on, but it switches from (B) to B and the little headset icon goes away.

Pressing the button on the headset (or using the BT menu) will reconnect the device, but it will disconnect again after another minute or so.

Anyone seen anything like this?

Opera is getting better by the month. If you haven't downloaded the lasted version, you need to. It's great. I'm still not able to do everything I can or would want to do, but I can do more than I could before.

Friends, I just got new nokia 6682. It has many keys which can guide to WAP. considerable key is Media key.

I don't want to use internet on my phone, as I am not ready to pay extra bucks for it. I am already havin internet every where😛

By mistake i already pressed tht keys some times...and i already transfered almost 60 kb frm the internet...

i am assuming this phone has gps tracking built in to it. how does one turn off GPS tracking, making it usable for 911 purposes only?

Does anyone have any directions or pictures of how to take the housing off of the Nokia 6682? I had a black housing put on but now i need to return it to Cingular for a new one and need to change the housing back. Any help would be great and i am in a big rush. Thank You to anyone who can help.

Does anyone know how to find the ringtones that come with the phone in the menu system? A cow-orker liked the "Nostalgia" ringtone & wanted it for his SLVR, but I wasn't able to even find it. I tried using the built in file manager and FExplorer (great program!), but still can't find the list of tunes that comes with the phone. I'd love to be able to share them via BT, and to be able to get them onto my computer, but I can't find them . . .

And if this is something colossally easy, please tell me. 🙂

With Nokia's new firmware software updater, I now have V 4.65.0 24-02-06 RM-58. No more error messages with the original Cingular firmware anymore.

is there a way to increase the recording time for the sound recorder on this phone? thanks!

I currently have an LG cu500, but I'm thinking about returning it, I have always had my eye on this phone, but heres my questions, hows the camera? as for accessories, what is included in the box? And last, over all how does this phone compare ot the LG cu500??

Please help...without having to send this phone into Cingular (last time was a complete debacle) I'm wondering if there is a way to restore the "Gallery" path on my phone. Presently, when I press the Gallery softekey or try to access from the phone menu, I get no a flickering screen, and then nothing. It seems that the path (maybe the file) is lost. This is really annoying because I have to now go into the file manager to access any pics or songs. Has anyone had this problem or know of any solutions??? Thanks

I have a nokia 6681 and whenever I receive files via bluetooth, they come into the mailbox of the phone and are stored on the phone memory. I want to set the phone in such a way that the files I get go directly onto my Memory card. It really sucks because I cant transfer more than a maximum of 6 mb at a time. 😕 😕

Would appreciate any help in this matter.

I have finally decided to sell my 6682. I haven't checked EBAY to see what their prices are, so I guess if someone is interested and thinks my price is too high I might consider negotiating. Maybe. I'm asking $225 and that includes insured shipping to anywhere in the U.S., a 512mb DV-RSMMC, a Krusell leather case, headphones that came with it. It also has a paid for version of Profimail and Netfront web browser. The phone is in immaculate condition, never EVER been dropped. The case has a slight scratch on it but other than that its fine. I have 5 positive feedbacks on EBAY, as I do not shop there much. I have sold one phone to another phonescoop member too. I am legit, and if you have PAYPAL which protects us both and are interested, PM me....
