Nokia 6682 / 6681

kevinicus, how can I buy just one 6682 from letstalk and still get the discounts?
One of the $50 discounts states, "only applies to lines 1 and 2 on any family plan."
I assume this means I have to have a family plan, which I plan on getting, but also means that I have to get a second phone from Letstalk.
I am currently an ATT holdover and I thought I could only carry over my number if I went through Cingular, so I planned on having my wife get the 6682 from letstalk,she is currently sprint, then I would get her a phone through cingular and then switch sims. It doesn't look like that will work.
Any thoughts from anyone would be helpful.

So I finally got my 6682 from letstalk. Does anyone have any reccomended progams that I should download? I am so freakin psyched to have finally gotten this phone.

Nokia says it will not cover any warranty issues on a 6681 purchased in the USA.

Has anyone bought a phone in the States and had warranty issues? Did your importer/seller take care of the phone?

Which importers/sellers provide their own warranty? Sell service contract?

Any stories you'd like to tell, I'd like to read.

I love nokias, I always had them they are user friendly, I need email access and bluetooth. and i cant seem to get used to my treo 650, i want a good bluetooth phone with email recieving capability, is this the phone for me, ive read many of the reviews and they are generally positive, but i still nbeed to ask;

1) is the email recieving as good and readable as the treo?
2) are there any updatres to the glitches that some of the happy users mentioned.

3) I have cingular, so which one is best for me 6681 or 6682 or what?

I currently own a moto v360 was considering purchasing one of these unlocked to use with my tmob service. is the usb on this phone as easy to use as my moto currently is? on my moto all I do is plug it in and open a box and just drag files into it, is this phone that easy? I believe I heard many moons ago that you have to download a program with it is that true?

I am asking in this forum because I read most folks in this forum are former nokia 6620 users thank you.

Has anyone tried using the new Stereo Bluetooth headphones with this phone? I believe Logitech and some other companies have some out right now, I was just wondering about the quality of the sound and if the phone will support them.

I just got my 6682 from Letstalk.com on monday. Nice phone. Does anyone know what other model phones the SIM will work in. I don't want to take a good phone (expensive to replace) when I go kayaking, fishing, mudding, camping, etc. I figured I might be able to find something used/cheap on ebay that I could slam the SIM into. The SIM is a 64k, orange and has Cingular printed on it.

anyone know how many pictures a 512 mmc card can hold on this phone at the max resolution?

I've installed an app that requires access to the network in order to send reports via email. However every time I try sending the report, the phone responds with 'Security Error. Network access is not permitted. Please check the security settings.'

Tech support had me go into the App Manager and change the settings for network access for the app to 'Ask every time'. This didn't work.

Does anyone know anything else I can configure on the phone that will allow network access for this app?

I have a 6620.. it's like crapping out... its old... is the insurance sending the same phone or the nokia 6682? does anyone know? thanks!

I recently discovered that my month-or-so old 6682 won't install any applications (from third parties or Nokia). I was trying to upgrade the Opera browser to 8.51 and it downloaded to the phone successfully, but when I tried to install it, the "Install" screen merely flashed for a second, then disappeared. The same thing happened with a couple of other apps, including the Nokia PC Suite upgrade.
Nokia support had me remove the Opera browser (thinking there may be a conflict) and try again. Nothing...and now I have no browser. I found no help from the Nokia Developers Forum and tech support now wants me to re-format the phone. Other than knowing I will lose all settings, I'm not sure what this means, how to proceed or what effect that...

Please let me know if any one has any idea...!

how can i disable the transmitting settings so that i can use the other features of the phone on a flight? i forgot what the right terminology was but certain phones have this feature that disables itself to avoid interference with flight equipment.
