Nokia 6682 / 6681

6682 Sim Compatibility

I just got my 6682 from Letstalk.com on monday. Nice phone. Does anyone know what other model phones the SIM will work in. I don't want to take a good phone (expensive to replace) when I go kayaking, fishing, mudding, camping, etc. I figured I might be able to find something used/cheap on ebay that I could slam the SIM into. The SIM is a 64k, orange and has Cingular printed on it.

I dont' think there is any limit to what phone can use the sim. As long as cingular sold it at some point, it should work. (and many non-cingular phones as well)

I occasionally use a moto v180 with my sim. They can be had cheap.

there are a few sim restrictions such as Nokia 1100 - Mot T-720 etc that come to mind but these are few and far in between- Cingular tier 2 techs can tell you which will not work with the 64k but almost every gsm phone will(as long as it supports 850mhz).
