I was wondering how I could convert a Windows Media Video or WMV file to a playable format for this phone.

That program converted the file to an .avi file, and my 6682 won't play it. Is that odd?

What are the recognized file types for the phone?

How you also installed Codec_Xvid_60.sis, which comes with the program?
I don't have any problems converting and playing video files on my Nokia 6682. The program converts files into .avi format.

For some reason....the program would just flash black, and then not show the movie. Then it would go back to the normal screen, as if I had done nothing.

I even installed the codec.

So I decided to uninstall the program. Now I can't get it to finish reinstalling it.

Is there another program I can try?

Were you able to install any other programs?
Anyway, I would suggest you to do master reset. For some reason, a few weeks ago my phone wouldn't install any programs. After I did master reset I was able to instal new programs. If you'll decide to do master reset, you should save all your data from your phone onto your computer or memory card (save your contacts to your memory card anyway).
you can do master reset by typing this code: *#7370#, then the phone will asking you to enter the phone's code which is 12345.

There are 2 more programs that allow you to convert and watch video files on Nokia 6682. however, I haven't tried them, Smartmovie works fine for me.

Is there a way that I can convert my windows media files to Real files, and just use the real player that is already on the phone?

Thanks!
