Help me bluetooth e815 with the Palm TX.

When I search for BT devices through my phone, the phone says zero devices found. I have enable BT on both the phone and Palm TX, and both are 'discoverable'.

I have also enabled ##DIALUP.

When I search using the Palm TX for BT devices, it recognizes the phone.

I called up tech support for verizon and moto, and even went to the verizon store for tech support, to no avail. Is it possible that verizon just disable the connection itself?

Phone overheating ???

I have the e816. I charged it last night, and took it to class this morning.

Approximately two hours after being off the charger, it got very very hot. Also, i noticed, it had shut itself off. I turn it back on to find that it has a low battery - and shuts itself off repeatedly.

Since then, i've managed to keep it alive, but it still gets very hot- so i turned it off. I've felt around, i'm fairly sure it has somthing to do with the battery... but none of this makes sense to me.

Anyone have any idea?

E815 dials itself during phone conversations

This has happened twice now, but it doesn't happen all the time. I'll be in the middle of a phone conversations and I'll hear the beep-beep-boop-boop sound (actually 7 beeps) of a number being dialed in the background then the connection sounds that are associated with dial-up (hisssing, boinging - how can I describe them?). But the beeping sounds seem to not be coming from my phone because they are not clear as when I dial them. They sound off in the distance as if I'm secretly listening in.

But then I have to end the conversation because this noise creates too much interference. Like I said, it doesn't happen on all conversations, but in the last 3 phone conversations, it happen twice.

I've had this phone for about six weeks and thi...

How do you get the wallpaper to stay after turning off the phone?

When I use the deafult wallpapers they will stay even after shutting off the phone, but when I use my own, it'll be removed once the phone is shut off and turned back on. Is there a way to get the wallpaper to stay?

Do I need to transfer it to the phone's memory storage or something? If so, how do you do that?

ECHO??????????

I asked a similar question about a week ago. NOW, I need to know from as many of you as possible. I have a 6100 and it drops calls often. Tonight I was sitting on the sofa and it dropped me. Then I called the person back and it was fine for a full hour!!! (go figure) Anyway, I want to get the E815 but am worried about the ECHO that everyone is mentioning. My sister purchased the E815 and it has an echo on and off occasionally but nothing bothersome to her. Her battery life is EXCELLENT (it outlasted my 6100) .

Please please give comments asap. I need to make this decision SOON!

Stuttering mp3s on the Hollywood phone?

It took me a bit to figure out how to upload mpo3s to the phone because the WMP sync wasn't working. Ending up turning the phone into a USB flash and drag and dumping it into the transcard.

However, now when I try to play my songs, it'd stutter and skip randomly from time to time. One track (6 megs long) would just cut off about 2 mins into playing it.

Is this because of the way my mp3s are encoded or is there something wrong with my transcard/phone? I had just gotten the phone and signed up to the ampd mobile service today.

Voice dialing problem

I just purchased the E815. I am having a problem getting the phone to dial contacts using voice command. I never had any problem with the phone dialing if I give the command in digits. The problem comes when I give it a name. I phoned motorola and they told me to reset the phone. When I did this the voice dialing of contacts worked for a while. However I have now have had to reset the phone 3 times to keep this function working. Anyone else have this problem? and how do you fix it? The only thing I did to the phone during this time was to enter a lot of names and numbers in the contact list. My software version is 8720_01.17.03. Would new firmware help? Thanks.

Which model will replace the E815?

Well, I love the E815 even though it has an attitude problem and a quirky personality, but I am anxious to see its big brother. Does anyone have any info on what will be replacing E815?

E815 as low speed modem

I've been reading through these posts and haven't quite seen the answer to my question: I'm half-way into my 15 day trial period of a new E815 .. upgrading from a QUALCOMM QCP2035a, which I'm able to connect with a cable to my laptop and go on line via Verizon qnc dialing #777 at 14,400 bps - slow, but sufficient to get and send e-mail and do some banking on line. I only use my minutes, no additional monthly plan, and I wait till after 9pm or the weekend.

I found out that there is no data suite available for the E815 to enable me to do this. Can someone tell me if it is possible to use this phone as a low speed modem with no additional monthly plans? If not, what is the next best phone to upgrade to that will allow me to do this? Any clea...

pix and ringtone problems

I'll start by saying that I have added the new firmware since trying to get my phone to perform as promised.

I have gone to funformobile and downloaded a few ringtones. The only one I can get to work is the first one I tried. I'm tired of hearing it! The Verizon rep said the firmware upgrade should fix that...it didn't.

Problem number two: I can't sent pix to my email address. I have added my number@vxpix to my address book and I've tried a zillion times to send pix to my pc. Only one has worked.

Also, anyone know of any other free legit ringtone sites since Walmart put a halt on theirs?

(TIA) Thanks in advance

E815 freezes

Anyone have a problem with the E815 freezing during Text messaging? Every 25 messages my phone freezes and reboots. I've had the phone replaced 3 times and still the same issue. VZW says I'm the only one with this issue. Is there a fix ? Is there a better phone ?

Any recommedations for Bluetooths for Samsung A930?

Now that I have had my Samsung a930 phone for a couple months, I am ready to get a Bluetooth headset. This is real new to me. A couple months ago, some forum users said some sets were incompatible with this phone. Any recommendations for which Bluetooth works well with this phone? I notice that the prices for Bluetooth sets on ebay run from a few dollars to way over $100. What is a good price point for a headset? Are the cheap ones any good? Thanks.

Noob questions "workaround" to enable features

Just got my E815 from circuit city. The verizon guy had no clue about using the BT on it as a modem or to transfer data to/from the phone, but fortunately one of the guys from their computer dept. told me that it is possible, but is disabled on my new phone. He turned me on to this forum as a place to find a workaround to enable it.

It seems that this is only recently disabled in verizon phones, so if anybody could point me towards some info, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Creaking phone

I just got this phone a week ago and had a question for others who own the phone. My battery cover creaks really bad. When i text someone it is real bad. Is this normal with this phone??? I'm just wondering if I should switch it out before my fifteen days are up. Other than that this phone is great. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

need help converting Real Player files to MP3 for my E815

newbie as far as posting, but spent weeks reading all of your comments prior to buying E815 (your comments convinced me e815 was the way to go). thanks for all your comments!!! I have read thru all these threads, but can't find the answer I need.
I am waiting for my new 1GB TransFlash card to arrive.....
and in the meantime...needing some ideas on how to convert music i had previously burned (6-8 mo. ago) from my factory-recorded CD's onto Real Player program (that I have burned my own CD's with), long before I bought this phone. I probably have 200-300 individual tracks, but hope there is a way I can just convert any of those from Real Player files to MP3, then just download onto my TransFlash card. I am hoping I do not have to re-rip a...

5 bad E815's

Geez what is going on in China besides communisim?

3 of them never left the store because they had dead earpieces. 4th one they couldn't pull the protective plastic off the front of the phone, it was literally melted or glued to the phone. 5th one was ok for 1 day then it died too.

No more made in china for me thank you. Build and quality control WAY better on the LG, Samsungs, and Nokias.

Bye
