Voice dialing problem

I just purchased the E815. I am having a problem getting the phone to dial contacts using voice command. I never had any problem with the phone dialing if I give the command in digits. The problem comes when I give it a name. I phoned motorola and they told me to reset the phone. When I did this the voice dialing of contacts worked for a while. However I have now have had to reset the phone 3 times to keep this function working. Anyone else have this problem? and how do you fix it? The only thing I did to the phone during this time was to enter a lot of names and numbers in the contact list. My software version is 8720_01.17.03. Would new firmware help? Thanks.

Is it that it wont dial, or that it offers to dial the wrong people? I have had a problem with the phone's diction. It reads "mom" as "mum" and if i dont ask it to call Mum, it calls Tom. I find myself asking in the same breathy voice the phone has. It's a bit of a hassle, but since I can always use the phone instead of the bluetooth, it doens't bother me much.

I'm changing from a V710 to an E815 tomorrow. This reminds me of an experience with DisObey Moto on my V710 the first month I had it. I was using ObeyMoto with a wired headset hooked up and cannot recall which name I was telling it to dial. After the umpteenth "name not recognized" I said, and I am not kidding, "F---- you!" an...

Here's a good tip for you if you can't get the voice recognition to work on a name.

Goto Menu->Settings[7]->Personalize[2]->Sound Settings->Contacts=Voice

Now, I like to turn on the Speakerphone to hear better, but open your Phone Book and scroll to the name you are having difficulty with. Listen to how the phone dictates the name and try saying the name similar to how the phone says it.
