Noob questions "workaround" to enable features

Just got my E815 from circuit city. The verizon guy had no clue about using the BT on it as a modem or to transfer data to/from the phone, but fortunately one of the guys from their computer dept. told me that it is possible, but is disabled on my new phone. He turned me on to this forum as a place to find a workaround to enable it.

It seems that this is only recently disabled in verizon phones, so if anybody could point me towards some info, I'd appreciate it.

With the newest firmware for the e815 the Dialup Networking (DUN) is disabled. On the older firmware you could type ##DIALUP and it would enable.

I have the newest firmware and my DUN is enabled. I didn't have to "...
