Sprints Ringers for free

Just came across the most simple way of getting ringers you could over think of.

As most of you know the sprint website offers the ability to test ringers before you buy them on your phone. Well if you test it you will notice that the song will play in a separate window for windows media player. you can save the song to your computer and it saves its as an MP3. I used itunes from apple that came with the free quicktime. Open itunes and drag the saved MP3 into the itunes maker and right click the song and convert to AAC and DONE. Now just drag the AAC version of the song back to your desktop and upload to phone. New ring just the way you like. Takes itune less then 10 seconds to get the file, convert, and drag back out.

I have a couple questions...

I have a few questions before I drop the full price since Sprint wont give me the rebates. 😈

1. I heard about two colors, blue and silver. Or, is it really just both blue AND silver?

2. Does it support OTA updating? I heard there is another firmware in the works.

Thanks,
B

I bought the mm-5600

Yep, got the phone. You may be asking “why would you b!tch and moan about the phone, then go and buy it?!?”

Well, because I’m have tons of $$ and I like to toss it around. I’ll enjoy this over-priced phone with so many gadgets I probably won’t even bother using them. Actually, this is just to tide me over till the Samsung A800 makes it’s way here.

So, needless to say, the phone is most definitely NOT living up to it’s hype……..well, YOUR hype that is.

It definitely lived up to MY hype…that it’s over-priced and under-performs.

Later cheeseheads!

Fortunately, There's Only A Few Of You ...

This kind of practice is too technologically involved for most people, fortunately.

The ringtone business is an important part of the growing mobile economy.

Let's not mess it up too badly.

Two things that i'm confused about with miniSD

I am sorry if this question seems totally simple, but I can't for the life of me figure out a few things about transferring files to/from the phone.

I have a mac, and when i do the mass storage function on the phone it shows up as a read only device, is this normal? Do you need to use a card reader instead, or is there a setting to change?

Also, when i place pictures/ringers onto the memory card, what folder do they go into? The 100sanyo folder is where I tried. I can't get the ringers to be recognized when I used my digital camera as a go-between to get the files onto the card finally (not a permanent situation I hope)

Quick Help

I need some quick help from whoever wants to provide it. I have a sanyo vm4500 and i want to get the sanyo mm-5600. Although the price is $429.99, i still want to get it. The plan that i have is a family plan with 4 phones. If i change the plan to the fair and flexible plan, will i need to sign a new contract? If I change the plan, then i can add a new line of service for $10 and i could get the $150 rebate for the sanyo mm-5600 and i can give the sanyo vm4500 to sprint for $50. The sanyo mm-5600's price will be reduced to $229.99. Thanks in advance to whoever provides me info.

Now what?

Bought a USB card reader, moved .mp3 files to miniSD, put that in the phone, and now what? How do I play them? Under miniSD Folders all I find is Picture, Video, Voice, and Media and all are empty. Where did I put the .mp3 files?

Will this Sanyo 5600 have "Voice Memo Ringtones" ?

I want to be able to program my friends voice and when they call me it will say "call from X".

X = The actual voice of the person that you program.
