Quick Help

I need some quick help from whoever wants to provide it. I have a sanyo vm4500 and i want to get the sanyo mm-5600. Although the price is $429.99, i still want to get it. The plan that i have is a family plan with 4 phones. If i change the plan to the fair and flexible plan, will i need to sign a new contract? If I change the plan, then i can add a new line of service for $10 and i could get the $150 rebate for the sanyo mm-5600 and i can give the sanyo vm4500 to sprint for $50. The sanyo mm-5600's price will be reduced to $229.99. Thanks in advance to whoever provides me info.

If you change plans, you will need to sign (or verbally authorize) a new 1 or 2 year contract. If you take 2 years, most likely they might waive the $39 activation fee. The $150 rebate only applies to the original phone that was purchased 18 months or longer.

And be VERY careful when swtiching plans, Sprint will slap you a $150 fee for the so-called "termination" of the old plan, you have to call them RIGHT away to take that off. That is the only thing that sucks about Sprint.

kool-d, where the hell did you get this info? here is the correct info...if you switch all lines over into the fair&flexible you will have to renew for another two years on all lines. adding the 5th line would only be $10 more. when adding you do get the instant $150 off the phone and there is no activation fee if your adding to a family plan. if you want them to buy back your vm4500 then it will be a $50 credit to your account. try and request that they take $50 off in store, they might do it depending on how nice they are. if they dont do it then threaten to take your business to another store. stores usually will try and do what they can to get the new activation. but remember to be NICE. oh yeah, act fee is $36 not $39.

and one last thing, there is never (for now) a activation fee for changing your plan, upgrading your phone, or adding lines to your account, the only $36 activation fee is the very first line you get as a brand new customer with sprint ..lines 2 through however many you get are waived

yes you will have to re new your contract for 2 years if you get that plan...if you add another line for $10 then the new phone number has to go on the 5600 for at least a week then swap your phone number onto the 5600...the $50 buyback only goes off your bill though, not off the phone

and no you don't have to worry about a cancellation fee for changing your plan, don't listen to that other thread about that
