Phone is in my hands!!!!!!!

Hey guys I just got my phone. I ordered it around apm yesterday and its here at 10:15am today. there must be a wharehouse near Las Vegas. That was really quick.

The phone is awsome. To everyone who was worried about the size, its not that bad. it looks a bit bigger than the average phone but if u compare it to any other phone its not really bigger. Screen is great. Everything is great. To all of you with the click questions there is a click but its not the same, it has a hinge like the samsungs but it have some small click.

Good luck with all you guys getting it today if you have ordered.

How big is the phone?

I am a huge fan of the sanyo mm5600, ever since last november and know its finally here. But i notice that people have been complaining about its size, so for those who have it is it really that big?

More Photos with 5600's camera

Here are some photos I took last night and today. You really have to keep that lens smudge free or you will not get good results!

Comments are welcome, smart asses will be ignored.

Photo quality is hands down better than those from an underwater digital camera I bought not too long ago (640x480) and on par if not better than a just-for-fun all-in-one DV cam I own that says it interpolates a 2mp image up to 4mp. ...my eye it does.

a800 mp3 capabilities

anybody have the scoop on this? seems like it would be equal to or better than the mm5600 but haven't heard any word on it.

also given that transflash media is a bit more expensive...

is it worth waiting for april? hmm...

Reception

How is the reception ??I lose it on my 5500 out in the Pinebarron lands of s. Jersey area. My Verizon holds strong in the same places. The V710 out shines everything so far in reception.

Hi all, new to the forum and excited to the new Sanyo 5600

Hi all, I am new to this group so please bear with me.

In any event, I am excited about the new Sanyo MM-5600 and the rich features. I am wondering with the upcoming release of Sprint's new EV-DO 3G network, will the 5600 having multimedia capabilities, be compatible to the new and improved network or will only new phones (as in the case with Verizon's V-Cast) be issued specifically for the 3G network?

LOL, you are all crazy over a dorky phone!!

You are all acting like getting this new phone is the greatest thing in the whole world!

Really, if you get this excited over a cell phone, you should take a minute to re-evaluate your priorities. I’ve never seen so many geeks go up and arms over a phone! LOL You’d think someone just gave you your first meal after starving for weeks….how pathetic!

Geek 1: “Whoo-hooooooo a new phone!”
Geek 2: “what-cha gonna do now billy? Can ya take a picture wit it ‘n send it to meh?”
Geek 1: “Sure thing…let me first put my ipod down and use my new mp3 phone instead…then I’ll take a picture of me eatin’ some cheeto’s”

Geek 2: “Thanx billy. I’m so jealous you’z gotz a new phone. I’ve been dreamin’ ‘bout dis phone since last year. I’...

IMPORTANT: inquiring minds want to know from all you lucky owners!

I know some people really have a hard-on for things like the *click* sound and the “flashlight”…but there are more relevant and important things that apply to the phone.

1. How is the BATTERY on it? Just giving the phone normal use (a few text messages here and there, a few phone calls, taking a few pics) during the day, does the battery drain quite a bit where it needs charging each night……or can you go a few days with NORMAL use and not charge it?

2. VOICE CALLS…are they clear when hearing the person calling? Do you sound clear to the person on the other end (some say with certain phones, it’ll make you sound like you are in a cave or “hollow”)? Average number of dropped calls per day (1, 2, 3…)?

3. SIZE of the phone? I h...

What about the LG535? (vs. 5600)

I am very tempted to get the 5600, but what about the LG mm-535? It just came out in Canada for Telus, so it should be here for Sprint soon. Does anyone know the approx. date? It's just as good as the 5600, and it will be cheaper - I also think it looks better, should I wait? Which is the better phone??

Okay this Phone was available earlier this morning what happened?

This sounds really good, but we all know that they will say anything to sell a phone. This phone is retailing for $469, thats a bit much. When did a cell phone become more then your electric bill? Why are these phones costing so much, While in china I saw a many phones with all kinds of features, but they were all inexpensive, all of them, including live stream phones(yes you can see who you are talking to in real time, it is really nice, and cheap unlike the little things that they are pushing off on Americans. any way LSS Why so much? What happened why is it not on-line?

Return policy if I buy it online???

Was thinking of ordering online, just curious if for any reason I dont like it can I still return it within 30days like if I bought it at the store? The refund is for full amount right, and what about if I'm renewing a contract? Will that be reversable?? Anything else I should know about the return policy, charges, etc...? Thanks.

Comments on MP3 ringtones

I would like to know if everyone else has had the same issue with the MP3 ringtones as mightywhitee. According to him, Sprint disabled the ability of the phone to play mp3's as ringtones. I think that really sucks, and I might just have to wait to buy the A800 or another phone if this is the case. Hopefully the A800 wont have the same restriction.

One other question: Can the videos taken by the 5600 be played by Windows Media Player on a pc?

Thanks!

5600 Now on Sprint PCS SITE

I don't know if this has already been listed, but it's now on the site with pricing info, like the pther phones. This should make the phone available in more markets.
