Just ordered 5600

Hi guys. I'm excited to tell you that my 5600 is on it's way. I called th e866-727-2886 number and they did it for me. Called Wednesday 12pm pacific time from Las Vegas (i know some of you are requesting that info). It should be here within 3-5 business days according to the person I spoke with. I'm very excited. 😁 Will let you all know how it is.

One thing that bothers me is that I have a $250 credit on my account and they would not use it to pay part of the phone. Is that correct? They said that I could only let the credit sit there and run with my monthly bill. I was told by 2 other people already that I could use it on sales. Sometimes I swear Sprint does not have the best communicatioon between eachother.

I BET YOU GUYS WILL BE HAPPY TO HERE THIS

I have been reading the threads in this forum for a while, and seeing this person saying this and this person saying that (about the release date of the MM-5600) and I have something to tell you, this is not from no inside source πŸ˜‰ or not close friend of mine that works for sprint, and I my self do not work fro sprint, this is from me. I don’t know if the times for these threads are posted but I am just going to write it any way. The date is 03/02/05 and the time is 2:31pm, I just got off the phone with sprint. And I just ordered my MM-5600. The price is $429.99 and the final price comes out to $471.01 or something like that after taxes and the $5.38 shipping and handling. I will probably say that this is the most accurate information. ...

Does anyone know of a way to get around paying the full price?

Hello all, I've been reading the forums on the 5600 and I want it so bad. I had the 4500 and upgraded to the 7400 but didn't think it was worth the difference at all so I'm excited for this one now. Anyway, I wish I didn't have to pay full price even though I will.

I talked to someone who said she went through the Sprint website and activated a new line of service to get the phone she wanted. She got the $150 instant savings plus $30 off for web special. Since there is a 14 day return policy she said she cancelled service with no penalty but was able to keep the phone. In other words she did not get a refund of her money, she just paid them the amount for the phone only. Does anyone know if this is possible or if this has happened before...

Speed Dial Question

Okay, please no smart aleck answers.

And I did try to read as much as I could in the manual. I have a Samsung N400 (yes you can stop the laughter now), anyway, I can assign a number to as many as 250 different people and just press that number and talk to get them. Such as, if my friend is 55, I can dial 5,5, talk and it will dial them. Does the 5600 have this feature beyond the standard 2-9 entries, because it reads as if you only have 2-9 as options?

where will you get yours?

I wonder how much this phone will be at best buy. I am eligible for the rebate through sprint but instead of renewing my 2yr contract which is up in Nov. I am debating if its smarter to get it at best buy. In the past I dont remember phones being THAT much cheaper at best buy but I dont know. And I assume you cant get the rebate if you buy at best buy.

Also, will we have to call around and ask if stores have it around mid march? Usually it takes a while before the stores in my area(ny, long island) actually get the phones that are out and I keep calling and bugging them and they never know exactly when they will get it. What is a good way I can be sure to find it quickly after its released?

Does Sprint Have Deals For Long Time Customers? :D

I've been lookin' around this forum and I saw a topic on rebates. So are there certain condition I have to meet to get rabates on new phones or sumthin'? I know my mom got a new Sanyo SCP-8200 for free b/c we added another line or sumthin' (We have a family plan) .

I've had the same phone (scp 5150, very durable) for almost 3 yrs (2 years, 8 months). I did get the 3 yr insurance from BB and nuthin' had been wrong w/ my phone until a 3 months ago. It's stuck on earpiece mode, I dunno why. So I've been usin' a earpiece eversince. I can't hear anythin' w/o the earpiece.

OK enough about that. So is there a deal I can get? I've been waitin' for this phone for a while, dealin' w/ my crappy headset n such. It's either this or use my $300 i...

Word from Sprint TECH

πŸ™‚ My friend who works for sprint, told me in the not to distant future, there will be direct streaming "live" of video. Not to be confused with MM Player. So keep an eye out. I am not sure if the 5600 will be capable of this!
