E-mail I received from Sprint

Well I myself didn't recieve this e-mail but someone I was talking to at readylinkusers.com forum fwd the e-mail to me since he has WebTV and was unsure on how to copy and paste so I told him I would post it for him. Hope this is true. Here goes:

Dear William,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I appreciate the opportunity to
address your inquiry.

I can understand you wish to buy two Sanyo MM-5600 and wants to know the
launch date of this handset through phone or message. I regret to
inform you that it is not possible for us or Sprint Store to call you or
send you the text message informing the launch date of this handset.

However, Sanyo MM-5600 is expected to be launched in the last week of
February. So, I request you ...

Dos it come with a strobe light?

I know it's a gay question, but does this one come with the strobe light too? I love that feature.

Sanyo MM-5600 is very over-rated!

I think that this forum is over-hyping this phone. Yea it has great features but in 6 months there is gonna be something better out there. When I can watch a clear realtime TV image on a large phone screen I will be impressed. These companies can put better product out there but they make small changes to each phone in order to make a long term profit. I have a Sanyo vm-4500 and although the features are good, the battery life sucks, the video camera is so-so, and it does not charge properly. Getting the Sanyo MM-5600 phone the first week may be a mistake becuase i'm sure the early versions will have some defects. And a $479 price is alot of money for the customers that don't qualify for the rebate. What do you all think?

Phones memory

I will still get the phone and all but isn't anybody worried about the 3mb of memory, i've known the more basic phones carry more memory then that. not really enough space to have 3d games or store a lot of things or programs unless theres memory for each categorie.

mm5600 in other colors?

check this out.

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retri ... »

anyone hear of the mm-5600 coming out in different colors, like the scp8200 or vm4500?

the pic is from the fcc website, so it is probably a prototype or something.

if they release one in that color (which looks like the same color they used on the vm4500) i'll wait for that one...

wait to purchase

How long after the 5600 is released should you wait to purchase it? Like to get all the bugs worked out and stuff? I herd it was 6 months after a phone is released is this true?

Thanks

Camera quality?

I know this phone isn't out yet,
but I hope to be an early adopter,
as soon as it's available.

So, does anyone have any idea about the camera picture quality of the MM-5600?
Have any insiders seen any pictures from this phone?

The camera phone technology is so immature that I am not expecting too much.
But I'm hoping for the best (given that it has a megapixel sensor), and hoping for much better than the MM-7400.

Sanyo 5600 vs LG 535

Okay, maybe, I'm just missing something here, but these two phones seem to be almost the exact same phone... can anyone explain to me why I should buy the same phone all you guys are going to buy, in the same clamshell design everyone else and their mom currently has, over a similar phone that uses the slide feature and will cost less. By the way NOTHING that we have read about this phone supports claims that MP3 ringers are useable, whereas the LG 535 does. I could be wrong in my assesment of the situation, which is why I'm looking for some guidance from people who seem to know more than I do.

RINGER VOLUME!!!!!!

🙂 😉 Do anyone know how loud the ringer volume will be? I really want a phone that I will be able to hear it ring if Im on the other side of the house. 😲 If you've ever heard a Nextel ringer go off there extremly loud and sounds great. I believe the newer nextels support MP3 ringers.

Once again do anyone know whether or not the 5600's ringer will compare to Nextel's!! Loud ringers is a must have for me 😎 😁

Countdown Feature

I have always had samsung phones and in their tools they have a feature that lets you put in a date (past or future) and it will tell you how many days it has been since or until. I have gotten used to this feature to keep track of various things. Does sanyo have anything like this??

How Big is the 5600

Hey, I am with Verizon right now and I have already made plans to switch my 1 line to Sprint when the 5600 is released. I have read in a couple of pages, that the Sanyo 5600 is kinda big, someone even compared it to a Nextel 😳 . Does anyone know any truth to this?

90 Minutes of Video Recording Confirmed. CHECK THIS OUT!!

I got this from a sticky thread at www.readylinkusers.com It's a scanned document that finally answers a lot of questions that we have all been asking. Maybe the finding of this document means the phone is not far away. It's only in black and white and not the best quality but better than nothing at all. Enjoy!

SANYO MM-5600 seen in Vegas

I had the opportunity to view the new Phone in Vegas during CES. Quite a beauty. Unfortunately am not up on all the technical stuff. As far as price and release date Best Buy will not be the only retailer offering the phone. If the phones are in the warehouse at Sprint i would purchase from them, before Best Buy------
Best Buy is not a reputable dealer. The best bet would be if Costco plans on carrying the phone. Costco currently sells the 7400 I hope they sell this beauty as well.
I can't wait for this phone/camera to come out!!!

5600 info

I believe this phone is going to be great but i'm going to have to test it out first, just because its a megapixel camera doesn't mean its any good, most of them r duds, basically u can't expect good quality unless its a CCD lense but i know sum phones get lucky but i don't thing sanyo will mess up now, also man such low phone memory, u can't store games on memory cards so side aplication r goin to take up da memory in a quick., Also do's this game support 3d games or animated wallpapers? i definitly want this phone but i have to look at it in stores before i buy it.
