Ringtones showing up in music library

I've loaded up a couple of ringtones in MP3 format. Now they show up in my music library. Has anyone else come across this?

It's thoroughly annoying ... I've tried every option I can think of to load the file onto the phone, but the file always shows up in my music library.

In other words, if I hit play all in my music library I'll get a nice mix of cool hip music (because that's just the kind of guy I am) ... and then all of a sudden I'll get a 2 second clip of a ringtone.

If anyone has an opinion or a solution ... would love to hear it.

N75 Contact List ...???

I've got the phone - lukewarm "like" - and have an Address Book issue.

Using Nokia software I restored previous Addr Book backup to N75. Earlier models used only one "Contact Name", N75 uses both First Name and Last Name. Display options are Last Nm; First Nm -or- First Nm; Last Nm.

All that's OK - restore function (rightfully so) put the Contact Name into the N75 Last Name field. BUT now, for whatever reason, contact name sequencing is all screwed up. I have over 500 contacts (using phone memory) - if I key an "S" (to get to the S's) the first name beginning with an "S" may not show up until 1/2 - 2/3 down the screen. The first entry on the screen may be an "A" contact.

I've used both N75 display options, used both memory and SI...

You might try the E65...

Hi. I've been following this forum for months and waiting like everyone else for this phone. After the 'release' last week and subsequent disappearance of the phone I went and bought an E65 instead. Just in case anyone is looking for an alternative to the N75 this could be it.

Pros: same S60, more memory, wifi that works very well (and UMTS is only slightly faster than EDGE anyways). No Cingular crap apps either. Fantastic voice quality and reception. Battery life is great too and charges fully in 2 hours.

cons: keypad is a little small but perfectly usable. I'm sure there are others but they haven't popped up yet.

If any has any questions about the phone I will be glad to answer them.

We have them in stores now...

Hi, I work for a Cingular (now the new AT&T) store and we got them in yesterday and I was doing training in another store and they got them the same day. You guys shouldn't have any problems finding them now and let me tell you they were worth the wait. I have a 8525 but I think I'm gonna get this too.

No memory card...

Why are you people so surprised that it does not include a memory chip? Yes some nokias in the past have included a removable chip but they also had very little internal memory, the N75 has much bigger internal memory than its predecesors. Quit complaining about the lack of a memory chip....what other phone on cingulars display comes with a chip in the box...not one of them.

Download speeds - please help/confirm.

Hello,
I am getting 150+ plus on my unlocked 6131.
I just got 180+ (which seems very fast) at the regional store in my area, with my 6131.

I am consitently getting 116-129K download speeds with my new n75, anywhere within a 10 mile area of my house.

I go to www.dspreports.com/mspeed and select 100 or 200K - I have the 3g symbol on my phone.
I have been confirmed by Tech Support and others at Cingular that I am in the 3g area.

I have spoken several people at Cingular today. Then general theme so far is they are all idiots. The store dweeb told me to call Tech Support, Tech Support is not helping me.

I am currently on the phone and a person in Tech Support is telling me the phone new and they dont have any ideas. They also told...

PC Mag trashes the N75 :(

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2125503,00.asp »

Tore it up over battery life, data speed, camera quality, and pop-port placement. First time I've heard such cons, the early reviews from Howard Forums were very positive. Strange.. ๐Ÿ˜ก
