Re: AT&T
Well, with Cellular One I have to say it seems like customers get a lot more help on a personal level. When a ticket is filed or something, theres usually something done about the issue, and a response/note on the acct within 48 hours. When I was with AT&T / Cingular, you put in a ticket and you didnt know what was going to happen.
I dont see how the network can improve much more with the acquisition. The two networks have been roaming partners for years. New towers arent going to magically spring up overnight. It may improve, but it will take time.

Re: @Home Help!!!!
HERE IS SOME HELPFUL HINTS I RECEIVED FROM MY TMOBILE REP. YOU CAN FOLLOW THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM TO GO DIRECTLY TO BLACKBERRY'S WEBSITE WITH THIS INFO.
If you restored data from a backup file that was created by another BlackBerry® smartphone model the necessary Wi-Fi® configuration settings for using T-Mobile Hotspot @Home are missing. Because of this you will be unable to connect to the T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service using your BlackBerry® Curve┞¢ 8320 smartphone.
Simply complete the following 4 tasks, listed below, to resolve this issue:
Task #1
Access the BlackBerry HELP! web site to import the necessary certificates.
From the Home screen of the BlackBerry Curve 8320 smartphone, click the BlackBerry HELP! icon. The BlackBerry® Browser opens to the BlackBerry HELP! web site.
Under Help Directory at the top of the page, click the link for HotSpot@Home is not working on my BlackBerry 8320.
Task #2
Import the Root Certificates.
On the BlackBerry HELP! web site, click the link for Install Root Certificate. The X509 Certificate Summary web page appears.
Scroll down the page and click the Import button. The Import button will only be available if the certificate is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Type a new key store password (if prompted). Remember this password because you will need it to complete Task 3.
Note: The key store password is not the password that you may have set up when locking your BlackBerry smartphone.
When a dialog box appears asking you Would you like to trust the certificate for T-Mobile USA, Inc. Root CA?, click Yes.
When a dialog box appears with the message The following application is requesting access to your Handheld Key Store, click OK. The BlackBerry Browser returns to the X509 Certificate Summary web page.
Press the Escape key to return to the previous page.
Task #3
Import the Trust Certificates.
Click the link for Install Trust Certificate. The X509 Certificate Summary web page appears.
Scroll down and click the Import button. The Import button will only be available if the certificate is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.
If you are prompted to enter a key store password, type the password you created when previously installing the Root certificate.
When a confirmation dialog box appears with the message The following application is requesting access to your Handheld Key Store, click OK. The BlackBerry Browser returns to the X509 Certificate Summary web page.
Press the Escape key to return to the previous page.
Task #4
Reset the BlackBerry 8320 smartphone.
Remove the battery cover on the back of the BlackBerry smartphone.
Remove the battery completely from the BlackBerry smartphone. The screen will go blank.
Reinsert the battery in its compartment.
Reattach the battery cover.
Once the BlackBerry smartphone has finished resetting, test connecting to the HotSpot @Home service.

Re: BlackBerry VS Moto Q Debate
And just as a side note.... I love US Cellular but my bb is with sprint.... The only reason I did that was A. I got a hooked up deal, and B. I want EVDO.... But heres the kicker, my blackberry is great and fast when I'm out and about, but when I'm at home, I can not receive a call, and can barely check my email... So I always use my US Cellular phone to make phone calls.... I just wish we would get EVDO in my market sooner...
Re: vzw is going down???
Also something to note.
T-mo is a fairly new company in the US but Deutsche Telekom has been around and seen global success.
I though it was interesting that T-mo, the global brand, has around 110 million customers.
It is very exciting to see it all unfold. Competition means lower prices and better technology and better customer service.
That's Not Fair!
One of the most common sayings when a customer doesn't get their way. Have they never heard the saying that life is not fair.
*Store Phone Rings*
R - Superior Communications, This is Havok. How can I help you?
C - Yes, this is Mary Ann Dumbass (pronounced DOO-MA-S). My phone is giving me problems. The speaker keeps going out on it while I am talking.
R - I'm sorry to hear that.
C - Can you check to see if I am eligible for a new phone? I need a Nokia. They are the only ones that work where I live.
R - Yes, ma'am. What is your cell phone number and last four of your SSN?
C - 555-555-1234 and 8008.
R - Thank you. I do see that you would not be eligible until February 29th of next year.
C - How can that be? This phone is over two years old. Or maybe it will be two years in February. Anyways, what can I do to get it replaced?
R - Unless you have insurance on the phone, your only option would be to purchase a phone at full price which starts at $100.
C - What? That's not fair. My phone is useless to me. It isn't working.
R - Unfortunately, your warranty only last one year and that time frame is over.
C - Well, I'm just going to go to Verizon if you cannot do better. I know Verizon works at my house. I will just opt out of my contract. How can I opt out?
R - For that, you'd have to contact customer service, but there would be a charge of $20 per month left in your contract and it currently ends on August 29th of next year.
C - That's really not fair. Can't you do anything better?
R- No, ma'am. That is the upgrade policy.
C - Well, give me the number to customer service and I'll see what they can do.
I was tempted to give her the Loyalty department's number, but I had no way of knowing how long she had been with Cell One and she was annoying me. At the time, I was helping a customer switch from a loaner phone to his replacement. The gentleman was extremely nice and understood that I was the only person working.
I am so tired of customers threatening to switch carriers. I think it should be added to all cell carrier terms and conditions that if you threaten this, the carrier has the right to immediately terminate service and charge the ETF. If you threaten to switch, apparently your current service is not working out for you. Thus, you SHOULD switch and leave me alone.
*Note - The names have been changed to protect me and the idiot.
