Verizon has been spying on Americans illegally.
Verizon says that "it was not their role to second-guess the legitimacy of emergency government requests."

Two different companies. There is no mention of VZW in that article (unless I am blind).

As you can see two seperate companies. Verzion communications is the landline side of the business and VZW is the wireless side.
The only corolation is that Verizon Communications owns part of Verizon Wireless.
My guess is that if they were referring to VZW they would have to say "Verizon Wireless owned jointly by Vodafone and Verizon Communications"

You didn't discover the "About us" part of their website. I was aware of that and it strengthens my case. Verizon Communications owns Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless is part of Verizon Communication.

Usually when they talk about Verizon Communications, they sometimes include Verizon Wireless but you know more if they talk about Verizon Wireless if they say Vodafone and Verizon Communications in the same sentence. On a side note, I actually do not care if these telecommunications giants help the government in any way to help save this country from another attack. I said many months ago about this issue, to I forgot who, that it doesn’t make a difference to me if the Government is doing everything they can in their arsenal to help us live our daily lives instead of living in fear and perhaps another 9/11 such attack.

Verizon Wireless is a company named "Cellco Partnership" It is doing business under the name Verizon Wireless... Verizon Communication is not Cellco Partnership, they are just a majority shareholder.
