Data Cable and ring tones/wallpaper Lg VX3200
Im rather new to cell phones other than making and receiving the ocassional call. Recently I dumped one of my land lines in favor of a Nationwide cell. I got the LG VX3200. and Alltel. I see that Alltel charges an arm and leg to d/l ringtones and wall paper. Im wondering if I buy the dat cable for this phone I can uploade wallpaper and ringtones to the phone from my computer. Can someone direct me to some more info?

making ringtones
I have been making ringtones on mobile phone tools and they are not as nice sounding as the ones I downloaded from the Cingular website. They are playing at 32 kbps while the Cingular ones play at 64 kbps. Does anybody know how to get 64 kbps with mobile phone tools or any other software that does?

Motorola A630 Ringtones
I've unlocked my moto a630, and I have no way to get on the web from the phone. Is there a way to download ringtones, screensavers etc. to my computer and get them over to the phone? I'm assuming I'll need the motorola data cables but do I need any software on the computer to make this work? Also if there is a way to do this via bluetooth that would be great as well.

seem editor for motorola v180 gone bad!
if someone could please help me, thatd be greatly appreciated, im in desperate need. i tried messing with the hex thing and the p2kman thing and messed up my volume while using the gain table. now, on my phone, the volume 5 is the highest volume while volume 6 is the lowest. basically, it goes from 6 to 7 to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 for some reason. i only messed with offsets OD, 49, and 31. does anyone know what i should do to make my phone go back to normal. if i could even do a master reset on my phone, that would be cool, but i dont know how to get a password that will enable me to do a master reset. anyone have advice? its a brand new phone and it cant be messed up already!

motorola v710 ringtones with transflash memory card
is there a way to make the phone play mp3s as ringtones from your transflash memory card instead of having to copy the mp3s to your phone, i mean whats the purpose of having this memory card....i dont use the camera etc cuz i have a digital video camera which can take still pics too, i just wanted a phone with mp3 ringtone capability and blue tooth, thanks

please help with verizon network preference
Hi, I have a treo600 from verizon. I ran across a problem with the network preference setting. Aparently it is set to never time out, which in this case cost me $179.67 in additional data charges (accumulated within 23hrs because the phone didnt disconnect even after I closed the application which used the connection). Granted Verizon took care of it, but they also locked the setting where you can adjust the time out for a data connection. Does anyone know how to override the lock-out or how to adjust the network timeout otherwise. To find the settings on the treo go to the main screen, tap on prefs, in the top right corner change it to networks then tap on modify. Having trouble with Motorola V710! Please Help!!!
I am having a lot of trouble with my Motorola V710. I juts got it today with Verizon Wireless. I want to know how to put MP3 ringtones onto my phone. It didn't come with a memory card and I do not have a USB cable. I have an iMac computer,so basically I have a Mac. I tried e-mailing MP3's to my phone but it doesn't want to go through. Please help me b/c I want those MP3 ringtones. Thanks.

V710 & austin powers videophone ringtone

It is the same tone as "Our man Flint" Hot line. If you click on the Red phone it will download the tone as a wave file.
I downloaded it to Itunes and changed it to a midi. I mailed the tone to my Motorola v710. It will play just fine in sounds in my media gallery, but when I apply it as a ringtone it will not play when calling my phone. Went back to the phone store and they're stumped as to why it will not ring. This is so frustrating. If anyone can get this to work Please let me know.

Free mp3 ringtones for V600
Is there anyway to get free mp3 ringtones for the Moto v600 without buying the USB cable or having bluetooth? I'm getting a Powerbook soon, so I should be able to use that for bluetooth, but until then, does anyone know any websites for free mp3 ringtones?

You have know idea how pissed off im right now. I bought the usb cable just for the reason i can add mp3 ringtones to my phone.
The only thing that works is isync. it works just fine contacts and the datebook. But it does not show up in the finder. How can I transfer my mp3's to the v265?
Is there a way to show up in the finder?
Is there a special program i can download/hack?

I currently own an LG VX6000 (which I am upgrading in a few days) and in owning it I became very proficient in creating my own ring tones to avoid paying usage fees for the ringers provided through GET IT NOW. This may not even be relevant anymore, seeing as how anyone who plays around with it enough could discover what I did, but enough with the banter: here it is, step by step.
Prepare music/voice message/tones
1. Go to "Send Pix Msg" via the camera icon button
2. After clicking it, put your own # in the address field. (if you have "Enhanced" under option in the lower right hand corner, turn this "On")
3. Go down to the Sound field and hit record (note: there is an approx. 6-second delay)
