Cingular: The rich family who has enough money to do anything they want or the teenage girl who is "in".

Verizon: The people who get a new cell phone every two years and between those years only occasionally use their cell phone to check up on the kids at college.

T-Mobile: The girl in her mid 20s who needs to talk to her girlfriends about her cute little chihuahua on her magenta RAZR.

Sprint: The conservative or low-income family who needs a cell phone for calling people and nothing else (of course the businessman who needs to use his blackberry as a modem for his laptop)

Nextel: The construction worker or architect who need the ability to curse and shout at his co-workers when he or she is drinking his morning gas-station coffe...

Is the speaker sound better then the Motorola V710? Also, Can you talk to someone on the speaker, with the flip closed? Does the extended battery make the phone thicker?

I have seen here in Phone Scoop ads for having ones cell phone unlocked.

First, what specifically do they mean by "unlocked"?

Do they mean unlocked so that EVERY feature on the cell phone is usable? For example, if a Verizon phone is locked by Verizon so that various features are disabled, and then the phone is taken to someone who can unlock it, and then I use that feature, will Verizon mete out punishment? Will Verizon cancel the contract and not refund money? Will they press charges? Or will they just let it go and consider it a part of business?

Yes, I do know that the altrnative is to go to Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc, but I already know that. I also know that Verizon has more coverage.

If anybody has this phone, can you tell me if you can receive a call with the flip closed & talk on the speaker, with flip closed? If you use an extended battery, does it make the phone bulge out?

My Sprint Toshiba VM-4050 will not save my user name so that I can get online. Sprint cannot figure out and I have already added the svcs. to my sprint acct. So can anyone give me directions on how to amend the problem??

I'm thinking about getting a new phone, and the options are a Motorola SLVR, or the Motorola PEBL. I like both equally, I've had a RAZR before and really liked it.
Does anyone have the PEBL, and could tell me how the keys are for texting. ALSO, does caller ID appear on the external display? And how does it look? Does it scroll vertically? Or Horizontal?

i have 107 songs on my phone in the media player right now which comes out to be about 247mb but if i try to put any more than that when i put the card back in my phone it says no media folder has been created. then i put the card back in the computer and all my files are corrupted and i have to reformatt the card??????????????? i even tried putting half the music in the media folder and half in music that worked but when i pulled up the music player my music was there and when i tried to play it started playing with no volume for about 5 seconds and then phone would freeze up. does anyone have any clues please help????????????? 😢 😢 😢

hey, who out there has a Motorola Q phone and is experiencing issues about the speaker being too low when playing mp3 music???.....its weird, if i use it as a ring tone... its loud but if i play it in windowzMedia player its low and i can barley hear it....

Is there any way to fix this???

Hello, I just purchased the Pioneer DEH-P980BT car stereo with built in bluetooth kit and I'm having several problems:
1. It doesn't connect automatically when I get in the car (even though it is set to connect automatically).

2. The phone book won't transfer over. Every time I click "phone book transfer" the phone disconnects from the bluetooth connection.

3. I can't use the "voice dial" feature.

Does anybody have any advice? It is the same thing as the DEH-P9800BT so if you have that and it works let me know.

I have software version 04 of the V3C and it is set up with a hands free bluetooth profile.

Please help!

I'm planning on buying the Sony Ericsson w600i but before i do i need to know if:
a) the Sony software is mac compatible.
b.) If i can just transfer music from my mac via the provided USB cable.
and C.) are pictures taken on the phone and from the computer transferable between the 2 via USB cable.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

LONDON — FON, a Spanish start-up on an ambitious crusade to turn home Wi-Fi connections into wireless "hotspots" for nearby users, is set to unveil on Monday a plan to hand out 1 million wireless routers for just $5 apiece.
