SIM Cards

The SIM cards I put in the new phones were all from the previous phones we had (four Nokia 6340i's. about 5 1/2 years old) I was told by the sales rep in the Cingular Corporate Store that these SIMS would be fine in the new phones.

Questions are:

1. Is this true? There have been no tech. changes in SIM cards in almost 6 years.

2. Will I lose any of the features in the new phones using the older SIM cards?

Thanks so much for your help!

David

Razr V3m

I was talking to a Rep from Verizon Wireless, & he told me that the reception on this phone isn't as good as my V710, because it's all digital, & won't work in Analog areas. Is this True? I know when I travel to areas that my V710 displays Analog, even the v710 doesn't work too well, alot of static. So I would like to know how the reception is, with the razr, in rural areas. When i upgrade to a razr v3m, I will definitely try it out for the 15 days on
trial from Verizon.

Where'd the E815 go?

Hey all you techies. Just curious if anyone could tell me why they pulled the Motorola E815. It was my top seller for 6 months and one of the best all-ages/groups phones. Is there some sort of conspiracy going on that would cause this? Or is there something else better coming out?

Sprint Samsung A900

Is there anyway to create ringtones on PC, then upload them directly to the phone without using the Internet? If not, are there any Sprint phones out there which would allow me to do so?

Thx,
Bill

Voice Dialing Vs. Voice Activated Functions

I am curious if anybody knows of any other phones that have Voice Activated Functions, no just Voice Dialing (i.e. Speaker Independent Voice.)

I know that the Samsung T609 and Motorola PEBL will do it. My 609 has about half a dozen commands I can do through voice only, even by way of the bluetooth headset...

But most of the listings here say that they are simply 'voice dialing' or some such notation, they don't usually specify Dependent or Independent.

Anything would be great, I've got somebody asking about phones to recommend for blind customers.

Need advice

Hello, I’m new to this site and not very familiar with this type technology so please bear with me, I’m not even sure how to ask this question but here goes. My wife is a realtor that uses a “supra key” to access the lock box that hangs on the door of a seller’s home. The “supra key” is a small electronic box in which you punch in a code that sends a signal to release the lock box which holds the key. She has a realtor friend that has a Treo -650 that she uses in place of the “supra key”. After checking into the Treo-650 we found out it offers way more features than she would ever use. Now to my question, is there any thing out there that’s a cell phone that could open a lock box?

Verizon Cust. confused as h*** with bluetooth.

I just bought the new LGVX5300, mainly because of bluetooth. I was hoping to be able to transfer pictures and songs with it. Now, my problem is that I can connect with another phone, but then every time I attempt to transfer, it says "Check bluetooth status of receiving device" on my phone and "connection interrupted" on the other persons. In the manual it says that my phone "doesn't support ALL Bluetooth OBEX profiles". Does it matter that I was trying with a cingular cust.? Will I not be able trade tones with those outside of verizon or just not with anybody? If you guys lead me in some sort of direction as to how to use this damn thing, I would greatly appreciate it.
