Why, SPECIFICALLY, do many people hate the razr??

I read where a lot of people just gripe gripe gripe about the Razr. My daughter has one and has had nothing but good out of it.
I'm due to get a new one soon and am seriously looking at the razor: her reception is great, fits good in pocket, large screen, text good, good pix/flix.
Could you folks please elaborate, specifically, why you don't like the Razr line??
Thanks,
Mark

I Need Your Help!

Okay guys, so I am changing to cingular wireless next tuesday when my plan expires for Verizon, and I was wondering what you guys thought the best phone is that is around the 150$ dollar and lower price range...

So far I have heard the following 3 phones are really good...

1) Samsung SGH-ZX20
2) Samsung D807
3) Motorola SLVR L7

Out of those 3 phones which one do you guys think is the wisest choice, and if you could explain why that particular one is better than the rest, or if you know another phone that is better than all 3 of these and is in my price range, please let me know about it and please tell me why that particular phone is better than the 3 listed above.

I greatly appreciate your assistance and opinion on this topi...

PLEASE HELP ME BUY A NEW FONE!!!!!

The rough requirements would be a 1.3MP cam, GSM 850, and a speakerphone. I need the cheapest phone possible with these features(excluding V3i) I've used all the phone finders around here but they don't seem all too good and it's always the same thing. W810i kinda expensive for what im gonna use, 6131 alright, d820 alright, etc. but I wanted to get some opinions on what fone I should buy.

Mobile Podcasting - Will it happen?

The cellular industry has repeatedly attempted to port popular consumer services to the mobile environment. Internet became Mobile Internet. Television became Mobile TV. Despite the investment of billions of dollars in data networks, spectrum, devices, and marketing campaigns, very few services have ported successfully.

Yet digital music and podcasting prove that users will go to great lengths to mobilize entertainment, including actively connecting a media device to a PC and transferring to it content downloaded from the internet. But can podcasting become a cellular service enjoyed on handsets? Clearly, podcasting has certain attributes which make it suitable for the mobile environment. First, it is an "on-the-go" experience....

Putting Mp3 music on to vcast music phones

😎
after exausting every way thinkable i have finally found a way to get past verizons "corporate like firewalls" and was able to put my own mp3's on with out the annoyance of windows media player 10 a.k.a experienced an error and needs to quit every launch, if you use quick-time to convert your mp3's into 3gpp videos, your vcast device will play it as if it was the real song, where the video part goes there is a picture of a music cleft, similar to the music playback on pre-vcast music devices. if you have a pre v-cast music device, consider your self lucky, while the owners of the V3m, A990, that ugly pink phone, a 8300 and others have to either get screwed with OTA 1.99 or if u are a windows XP master mind get them from WM, after purcha...

Can I watch recorded tv on Verizon Phone?

Hello, new to tec stuff on cell phones. Im leaving nextel (sprint) for verizon next month. Looking at lots of phones. Ive settled on either the samsung 990, lg 8300, or wait for lg 9900, or wait for lg8600 flip. But..
I really would like to some how watch recorded tv and other home movies that I have created on my mac. They are done in .mov.
Does the phone have to have some kind of movie player? I emailed samsung and they said the 990 can't do that. Do they just say that?
Ive read on here about converting things to 3g2 format. Info on that also please. Go tec guys. this forum is awesome.

Bluetooth for Car

Anyone tried the bluetooth phone adapter for your car radio. My dvd player I have in my car has a bluetooth phone adapter that will put the person through the speakers but it seems to me that this would create an echo to the person talking. Any opinions would be nice.

Anyone use the Scala-Rider or recommend motorcycle BT solution?

I'm looking for something to allow me to answer calls while on my motorcycle.

So far, I've found one wired headset that will work, but it's wired and uncomfortable in the helmet.

I've stumbled upon the Cardo Systems Scala Rider.
I found it at cellularaccessory.com (an advertiser on this site) for $89.95 and free shipping.

I'm wanting to know if anyone knows what profiles it supports, and if they have personal experience with it.

I also stumbled upon the Motorola HS830, but it needs to be glued to the helmet and I really don't like that.

The user manual doesn't state what profiles it supports. Also it says in a full faced helmet the voice activation and calls are clear up to 75 MPH. Has anyone actually experienced this?

Luxury / Designer Cell Phones - Opinions!

How does everyone here feel about them?

i just picked up the D&G V3i and i like it. the problem i have though is that it feels like a cheap piece of plastic compared to the other phone i bought long with it. the nokia 8801. the 8801 is heavy, but i actually like it. it feels very solid.

but anyways how do you guys feel about designer phones? or like those extra special editions that don't include much new phone features?

Newbee with a question

I have had my verizon wireless Samsung A670 for about 2 years now, and recently i have found the network button which lets me change from NAM 1, to NAM 2. I odn tknow what those are for;however, when i set my phone up on Nam 2 it says that my phone needs programming. I remember that verizon had a three digit number for updating phones. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me what NAM is and if changing it will bring better voice quality.

THank you for your help.

Need help with phone.. PLS Help!

😕 dropped my Verizon V60 into the bowl momentarily. fished it out and dried it off ASAP after removing the battery. didn’t seem to get hardly any water in it. at first didn’t work, but after re-drying it, it would work, but shortly after turning it on, it turns itself off again Changed battery, same problem. If it is hooked up to a charger it will stay on and work, otherwise I have to restart it to make or receive calls. Opened it up and also dried with hair drier again, cleaned with alcohol and put it back together. Same stuff happening. it is a tri mode phone and I hate to get rid of it. don’t like the stuff that is out there and do not want to contract for another 2 years, any ideas.???

What's the future of push-to-talk in the U.S.?

"Push-to-talk services are in the news again. Remember when they were the hottest topic in 2002 and 2003? Operators looking jealously at Nextel's high ARPU thought IP networks would finally allow them to compete. It turned out though that when Verizon launched the first competitive PTT service it couldn't compete on quality. Marketing of the service quickly faded. Cingular and Alltel have launched services using a solution from Kodiak, which uses a circuit-switched network that reduces latency problems. But PTT will probably run into the same adoption problems SMS and MMS faced early on in the U.S. because carriers aren't opening up their networks to interoperability. Sprint Nextel won't have an incentive for a long time to do so because it ...

Is the RAZR always behind?

I'm just curious. When the first RAZR was released, it had a still camera while other companies were making video camera phones. Now the V3i comes out with a 1 megapixel camera, while other companies are soon putting out 2 or 3 MP cameras. I know it's pretty, but come on! Give me a RAZR with a 3 MP camera, HSDPA, and some other top of the line stuff, then I'll join the crowd.

Cingular iTunes Vs. VZW's V-Cast Music

In one corner, we have iTunes, a pre-established music listening platform that has been in circulation for years, and gave birth to the infamous iPod.

In the opposite corner, we have the carrier touted as "America's Most Reliable Wireless" introducing V-Cast Music, giving wireless phone users the capability to download songs to their handset from their handset, thus relieving them of the needless hassle of logging on, hoping that the P2P user on the other end of their download doesn't log off or crash.

Two forms of mobile music, two different companies. Cingular, while still considered by many to be an up-and-comer when compared to Verizon Wireless, was the first wireless carrier to introduce a popular form of multimedia freedom with ...

Verizon Navigation

Hey guys,

I keep seeing commercials for Verizon's nagivation software on their phones--like a RAZR V3m that tells you when to turn to get to your destination. Since GPS's are expensive, I assume the phones don't include a true GPS. How do they work?
