can someone tell me if there is a secret password to unlock this phone.

I totally love the P900 but it does not work with Verizon's CDMA. I still rather the P900/P910 than the Treo because they have bluetooth.

Anyone know any ideas/tricks on how to make this work with CDMA? 🤭

A seller online told me that he got a CDMA P900 from Hong Kong... I don't believe it though...

I have an older startac that I am keeping as a backup and I would love to find a beefy antenna to replace the wimply one that comes with it. Beefy suggests that it will not break off and will bring in reception.

Looking at the licensed markets for the new Cingular, it will be in Verizon's best interest to add Alltel to their stable. This would fill in many holes in Verizon's arsenal of licensed markets and give them another 12 million customers.
Alltel has split off its wireless division from its wireline division. The only reason I can think of is to prepare it for sale.

With Verizon's competition turning back the nights and weekend clock I have wondered why Verizon has been so stubborn in keeping the start time at 9PM.

It seems like such an easy way to maintain customer loyalty.

Any thoughts?

I have been a Verizon customer for years even through frustrating times. I am about to update the phone and I believe it would be wise to at least consider the carrier options.

I will need solid tri-mode service and good coverage in the five neighboring states (Wyoming, Kansas, Dakotas, Utah).

In general Verizon coverage is good in the region but I am unfamiliar with the competitors coverage. I currently have a 1000 minute plan.

I am aware that Verizon has just acquired the Qwest network so coverage may improve again.

Opinions appreciated.

honestly speaking now, verizon has set the standard for the wireless industry. i mean everyone is always comparing their coverage to verizon and their phones to verizon and how they are sooo much better than verizon. i dont see anyone comparing att with t-mobile and so on. verizon is always at the top of everyones list of companies to complain about b/c we are number one. yeah we may not be here once the merger goes thru but seriously if you take 2 of the top 5 companies in this industry and combine them you better be number one and no one knows if they even will be by that time b/c of the churn rates for those companies. we will all just have to see but i know verizon will not take a backseat very long if it even has to. but take a look at ...

WOA THE COVERAGE AND THE PHONES WITH ALL THE LATEST TECH, WATCH OUT VERIZON!!!!!!

I have been patiently waiting for this phone to come out. I haven't been able to find any updates about it yet. Does anyone know any new info on the phone? such as..when does it comes out..or if the phone is definetely going to be available for verizon wireless? any help or info is much appreciated! thanks 🙂

I want to play chess online at yahoo games with my friends, but that requires downloading a javascript applet. I have T-mobile right now but I don't even think the new treo 600 can handle downloading java script applets.

Hello all. I just had a friend in Korea mail me a startac 2004. I am hoping it will work with verizon sice it is CDMA. Does anyone know if that is possible? DO i only need unlock codes..

I currently am a T-Mobile user. I am extremely unhappy with my service. The phones are horrible. The service isn't the greatest, but bearable. The phones I have used you have to yell into the phone. I haven't got a new service because T-Mobile keeps promising new phones and people have told me that T-Mobile is superior. Is Sprint a better line?! I know that the phones are better. What are some thoughts?!?!

I was talking with the owner of my shop today, and he said that sometime around the 4th qtr this year, SBC/Cingular would put in a buyout bid of T-Mobile, making SBC/Cingular/ATT the largest conglomorate of GSM service in North America...has anyone heard anything to this effect?

Things are progressing smoothly. Currently, the government and securities exchange commission are conducting the anti-trust investigation. Cingular and AWS want the deal to close in October this year, but, with the current information we have, it probably won't until the very end of the year, because of the government's time tables involved.

For those of you expecting an immediate change, it won't happen. It will be well into 2005 before everyone's bills say Cingular, and before everything AT&T turns Cingular. Remember, since we are combining 22 million and 25 million customers per each carrier, this transition is not instantaneous.
