So whats the news on the ATT and Cingular Merger and which company is the largest. 😁

I was just wondering if anybody knows where I can get the ringer that was on Zoolander's phone in the movie Zoolander. Much appreciation if anyone can help me out. I have a t730 with Verizon.

There is NO way AWS will ever be buying T-Mobile. Vodafone has proposed to do so, because T-Mobile is rich in spectrum in the biggest penetrating markets, but AT&T Wireless already has EVERY market covered that T-Mobile does, and at this point in time, some are DOUBLE covered (GSM America roaming agreements with Cingular).

As an employee of at&t wireless out of sacramento, ive come across some juicey new for wireless head honchos, its come to my attention that before the merger with cingular at&t wireless is in the proceding tos aquire t-mobile to bring up the customer base 3 fold, this is not a rumor it is true info that will be brought to public notice in three months..... keep you guys posted on any info that spurs from this situation.

AWS/Cingular could mean 8-percent price increase

Wireless industry prices could rise as much as 8 percent if the pending acquisition of AT&T Wireless Services Inc. by Cingular Wireless L.L.C. is approved by government regulators, according to a report by Phoenix Center for Advanced Legal and Economic Public Policy Studies.

The report cites decreased competition in the wireless space as well as further consolidation of wireless properties by former Bell operating companies as reasons for the possible price increases, which would result in a $5 billion annual drop in consumer surplus.

I recently purchased my wife the Samsung E105 phone under T-Mobile. I think ATT has a comparable phone as well. The phone is small, thin (0.8inches) and weighs around 2.8 ounces. It's a fairly basic phone by today's standards... ie, no camera, bluetooth, etc. Does anyone know when/if Verizon will offer a similar phone? Although I am tempted to switch plans, I want to stick with Verizon because their coverage works for me.

Any opinions would be helpful... I like the 8900 but it just isnt loud enough. My g/f has the LG and hers is blasting I love it.. ring wise... but LG has no speakerphone I heard. I like the camera on both but the 8900 has a much crisp and clearer screen. I know the 8900 has 128 Flash memory which I dont know what the LG6000 has. Which phone has more memory for storing ringtones and pictures. I hear the 8900 has better reception... but then i hear the LG has better.. but more dropped calls. Just wondering if anyone can list some really really good things about each phone... and some really really really bad things about each phone.. its important.. i only have 10 days left to return the AUdiovox 8900. thanks

All of the Verizon palm based phones have been a disaster. Does anyone know if Verizon has something imminent planned for a palm based pda that has a decent phone and palm functionality?

I mean wouldn't that be incredibly weird, SBC and BS acquire ATTWS, and then BS acquires ATT. Which would mean technically Cingular could rename itself back to ATTWS.

I really doubt this would happen after the ATTWS acquisition (too much money), and I think the DoJ would definitely stop it under Antitrust laws.

But it truly be the baby Zeus defeating his Titan father. Cool.

I am sure this is posted somewhere, but I read the rumor about the Treo 610 on Verizon. Anyone have insight on this one?

Last week in Orlando the 8900 was discounted to $29. It has now been discontinued. It has even been taken off the web site. The strange thing is that it is still being sold in other parts of the country (I checked an Ohio zip code).

Does this mean something else is coming? I can't imagine that VZW would be down to only two (aging) picture phones for long. It also seems strange that there are no Audiovox phones being sold down here.
