Number Change fee

C: i need to change my phone number.

M: ok, i can help you with that. are you aware of the 36.00 fee associated with changing your number?

C: 36?? But i'm getting harassing phone calls!! I shouldn't have to pay anything for peace of mind!!

M: Are we the ones harassing you?

C: ๐Ÿคจ no...

M: Maybe the people harassing you should pay the 36.00 fee.

C: I've never looked at it that way, wow...

sometimes you just gotta keep it real.

To the California dealers and sales reps...

Ok, try to follow me on this one.

Cell phone carriers subsidize phones through the monthly bill, essentially the customer is paying for their phone over time.

California taxes the hell out of those monthly bills.

California also makes consumers pay tax on the full retail value of the phone, regardless of what price they are paying for the phone at time of activation.

How is this kind of double-taxing legal?

Question

Ok I have a question for someone that is more tech savy, I am an indirect agent and have been dealing with my company for 8 years, anyway my question is if anyone knows or has tried to take a phone booster antenna and cut the cord and splice a xm or Sirius antenna to it and use that instead, now here is why I am asking I have a customer that would like a booster for his car but wants to avoid the antenna look that comes with the booster and really doesn't like the window antenna due to the fact it looks ugly on the window, I know the frequency of the booster but because I am behind a firewall at work I can't check xm's or Sirius's site to see what their antenna rates at if that makes any sense.

Ppl need to think about what they are saying before they open their mouth

So I have a customer on the line and he's wanting to set up a business account. When I asked for the taxid he freaked cuz he's at home and not at work! Then he decides to say to someone else..."I don't know why they need the id to see if i'm approved"
WTF?? Seriously? Do you want someone to use your business information and get the account set up without your knowledge cuz I don't need the taxid. We request it for verification dip ish!
Then after running credit, I find out we have an existing account for his business and he doesn't know the security info cuz he was dumb enough to have someone else set up the account and then didn't get the security info before firing him.
But its all my fault and I'm wasting his day off cuz he's doing thi...

"My phone sizzled and turned off!"

Yes... that is what my last customer just told me. And I believe that is the oddest thing I've ever heard a customer tell me before.

I so wanted to say "Foshizzle it sizzled?"

Stupid People Deserve....

to be treated as if they're stupid.

I had a customer yesterday that was mad at me because I asked her to take her phone to a warranty center to be checked out before we exchange it, because there was a scratch on it. If I did the exchange, she could be charged over $200 for the phone.

C: AT&T is just trying to take my money.

M: ๐Ÿ™„.... So, you think I'm trying to take money from you, by taking steps to prevent you from being charged over $200?

C: Well, you're making me waste my gas.

M:...... to save you from being charged over $200?

C: The screen doesnt work! That's not my fault.

M: No, but the scratches are, and if they arent considered normal wear and tear, we will charge you for the phone.

C: But you cant se...

why does Sprint run promotions on phones that are low on inventory?

I mean, really? why run a promotion for the crap Instinct HD with low inventory, now every order is on backorder because Sprint couldn't sit down and think for a minute and get a better estimate of how many people like free crappy phones when beginning service.

common sense would be to order more inventory for the promotion, but no, sprint seems to screw up.

Understanding cell phone records

I am an investigative journalist looking at some cell phone records and find them very confusing. How can I understand the technical notations? Why does each day have three different entries? What is a text and what is a call? What is seizure time for example? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I can't remember my info.. why won't you tell me about my account?

So I had a customer come in. Said his phone didn't work even though he "just got it." so I ask to see the phone.

It's an original, Green LG EnV. Since the phone is approaching 4 years old, that's most likely why it doesn't work anymore.

He asks me to check when he's due to upgrade. So I ask him for his phone number and social.

I enter it, it's the wrong social. He then informs me that it's under his wifes name, but "last time this happened, she added me so I can make changes."

I still tell him we need the info to look it up, but if he can remember the password I might be able to get it a different way. Of course he can't, so he gives me her name and tells me to look it up that way.

I told him I couldn't do that and he sto...

Transfer of liability with SERO

I tried to do a transfer of liability to someone else for one of my SERO lines. The guy got an account set up, so I called Sprint, did a 3 way call and once I verified with them and told them what's up, they let me drop off, so i thought everything was kosher.

So I get an e-mail from the guy that I was trying to transfer to, and he says that they can't do it, and wanted me to call Sprint. I call Sprint up and ask them what happened and the guy informed me that because my line is considered an employee account, and the other person is considered a retail account, they can't do it.

Is there a way around this?

The only way I see is if the person signs up for the new SERO using Russ's information, gets the account set up with a new numb...
