Do you ever have a customer induce Tourette's once you're off the call?

I just had a guy who called in saying we sent him the wrong phone. After getting him to shut up I figured out that he had filed on the wrong line (by his own admittance, he said he thought we wanted the number of the phone he was calling from 🙄 ).

Anyways, after I tell him all this I inform him that I can file it on the correct number but he'll have to pay the $50 deductible again. Apparently this is bull$hit. Somehow the fact that he gave us the wrong number, said that the phone we were replacing was the correct model, and agreed to the phone we were sending him is our fault.

Needless to say I had to transfer him to my sup and she got to deal with him. I hate these motherf***ing customers! 👿

( no way we only do that when we are converting one of the outdated nextel to the real phone service) well then she is telling me that i have to give her a mail in rebate when she is unwilling to sign up for the plan that it requires. well up next is a lady who said all she was here for was to pay a bill ok no big deal. well i have to go to a chamber of commerce meeting to get a ton of leads that thing was awesome more on that later. well about 65 questions later she has made it so i am goona...

It's rainy, cold, the packers sucked and it's the anniversary of 9/11

No one will come to my kiosk today.
which is ok, since everyone would be crabby anyhow.

So, I have a question.
If your significant other, or a close friend, whatever, was about to go buy a cell phone and instead of getting it from you, went to the flippen competion, would you be mad?

" 'nuff said..."

"I need to buy a phone to replace the one my son lost. I don't want to spend over $150 to replace it, I'm not signing another contract, and I didn't have insurance."

So I show him his options

"How much is that chocolate phone?"

I tell him the RETAIL price

"Good lord! I don't wanna spend over $150"

I show him options again

"Can I upgrade my line to the chocolate?"

Yes, I tell him the price with upgrade= $215 - $50 rebate.

"Okay, I'll be back Friday or Saturday"

Um...thought you didn't wanna pay more than $150...or sign a contract...

Dealer flipped out on me

I just had a dealer flip out on me!!! I work in the wholesale end of things and take orders from indirect dealers. They are indenified by our company's assigned code. So this particular dealer calls and gives me his code. I verify the dealer name and then he proceeds to place an order.

He wants something that only his salesman can take an order for. When phones are new and we only get x amount they are divided equally amoung the salesmen and they take care of all the orders. So I inform him the I can transfer him to his salesman on that but the salesman wasn't at his desk. I offer voicemail and that's when the dealer flipped out asking why am I being so rude, what's your name, why am I so mean.

I asked "Excuse me? How am I be...

Stolen Phone(long)

One day it was just me and my co-worker working we had been pretty busy through out the day, but there are times where we are alone for over an hour every day, and sometimes we dont communicate about what goes on while the other is gone. Anyways me and my co worker had normal customers, we know pretty much all of our customers at our store, one of them was acting kind of weird in the corner, we didnt pay much attn to him because my co-worker knew him. I left early that day the next morning when i got there I went to unplug our live display phones and I noticed that one of them were gone, I asked my co worker if she had taken it to sell it, she said she didnt cuz she thought i sold it, and didmt mention anything at closing because she figure...

"Not enough Minutes"

Had a customer who signed up, and on day 14 of his 15 day WFG, he decided to come back and return his phone because he didnt have enough minutes. When he came in and started service, he didn't care what he got as long as it was the cheapest plan available. So he signed up on our $39.99 450 Unltd N&W, IN Calling, yada yada yada. He came in because I don't remember what company was/is offering 1400 or 1500 minutes for like $49.99/month. I understand, he wanted more minutes for right about the same price, and he didn't care about coverage. But the funny thing was, when I had his account disconnected under the WFG, he had used something like 300 peak minutes, and over 400 in night and weekends and mobile to mobile. IN ONE WEEK! He used 700...

Customer call backs & writing mini novels

This goes out to anyone employed as a retail sales respresentative, both in the direct as well as indirect channel. For the 7 years I worked with AT&T Wireless, I made it a point within 3 days to send a handwritten thank you card for signing up for/adding an additional line of service with us.
In the brief note, I would let the customer know I would be calling them at the end of 30 days to check up to see if they had any questions or concerns, mentioned current promotions they may be entitled to as well as ask for referrals.
When I came on board initially with Sprint Nextel Inc. in a legacy iDEN store, we did 3 day and 15 day call backs to the customer which pretty much was the 3 day note/30 call back with AT&T Wireless.
N...

crazy

do you realize that most of the cariers that we work for can service a 2 year contract with 1000 day unlimited nights & weekends at 5pm ,unlimited two way, unlimited mobile to mobile, Unlimited web axcess for around $8.16 NOT PER MONTH, but for the Entire 2 year period. Yet this costs the customer about just over $2000 per year for everything here. (if they offered n&w at 5pm) 😳 This does not take in to account pay for employees, advirtising, or tower maintainence. Just interconnection costs, data cost, and "minutes".

what do you think about that!?

CH customers

Crack Head customers, today I had one of the worst crack head customers ever, this lady was off the wall crazy, she was yelling and cursing to her mom and sisters and all this other **** and HAD TO HAVE certain things, she was starting to scare me, (when i wasnt holding my laughter back). I felt kinda bad for her, but she was yelling about wishing the that the money was gone so she could be a big happy family and other random s**t. Have any of you had any freaky crack head customers come in.

finally!!

well, i just called the cops on some a-hole that wanted to return a used headset. first off...yuck!! this thing had PILES of earwax inside of it. i asked him twice calm down or i would have to ask him to leave. this only engraged him more. so then the 3rd time, i said please leave the store. he didn't. kept yelling. 4th time i said, if you don't leave, i'll call the cops and have them remove you themselves. he said go right ahead. so i did. cops just came and he's banned from here from life 😈

Babies...

So, I'm curious to know how many people out there have to baby their employees. I have an employee that is rather...um...I guess different is the best way to describe her. She always chimes in while you are doing work with a customer, to give her 2 cents (and mostly she's ALWAYS wrong) so I always find myself having to tell her, NO, and explain what it is I'm working with, so the customer doesn't feel that I am misleading them. There have been countless other things as well...but seriously.....when will it end!! When I have problems with this girl, and I have sought the help of my company manager, they always tell me to "take it easy on her" Well the number of times I've "taken it easy" has gotten me nowhere. The only way she will list...

I love this idea what about you kinda long.

I have been in the business for many years. I have seen cheep phones expensive phones and some phones I think some companies designed out the back of some garage. But the one thing that always comes back to me is “I WANT MY FREE PHONE”
We all need to stop comparing phones to cable we all understand the simple point that some people have been making but the nitpickers will try to defend the cable people by saying so and so don’t give free tv’s and so forth enough with that topic comperason..
The point I was trying to make is yes cell phone companies do depend on outsourcing there phone products and yes companies like nokia and moto do want there share of the proffit. But lets all think back to how the customers got turned on to the free ...
