If you sell it, do you use it?

I signed up for a VZW cell phone before I became a VZW rep. I'm glad now that I chose VZW but had my job oportunities been different way back when. I might be a cingular CSR with a VZW cell phone. How many of us work for and subscribe to the same company? How many subscribe to the 'competition' and how many of us don't have cell-phones?

So irritated!

Two men just came up and they looked and sounded like they were straight out of "Deliverance". I asked them twice how I could help them before I got a response. "We just looking sweetie!" Okay, fine. "Y'all got them Razrs?" Sure, I start briefly describing the features when he interrupts me, "Oh naw, I don't care about none of that, I just want to tease my daughter with it. She wanted one for Christmas but I said 'hell naw!'"

Oh, nice. Yes, please cause a screechy teenage redneck meltdown at my kiosk. That's exactly what I need right now.

i'm gonna die from the paint fumes...

Lovely surprise waiting for me at work today after i got up at 6am and drove like a maniac (i was at my mom's for Christmas, which is 2 hours away) to get to work on time.
There are already people lined up outside the store before 9am, of course. but it's not like i really expected any different.
we have like 6 or 7 guys in here remodeling and painting and drilling holes everywhere. it REEKS of paint fumes and i'm getting dizzy. plus something is beeping incessantly b/c it's not plugged in and i can't seem to find where the noise is coming from.
the same lady has called twice asking about the red razr which we're out of stock on anyway.
and, i'm attempting to do a cross market activation which isn't going very well. i think it's time fo...

Who does this?

This guy just cam in to exchange his phone on the 30th day and got mad cause I wouldn't take it back without the charger. Then madder when I offered to sell him the charger he needed to return the phone. Then madder when I only gave him till wednesday to comeback with the charger to do the exchange (When it will be out of the 30 day return policy).

What a jerk.

If customers should read this forum

I #1 am a customer.
I know everyone needs to vent from work! I also know internet access is limited and so what else if there to talk about while your at work? Who cares anyways? I see all of this I have worked everywhere and no matter what customers are as* holes. Anyways the only thing negative that can come from this forum is if someone talks alot of crap to a future customer and the cutomer knows what carrier they work for.
Like if cingularpro started stuff with me and said I was stupid and yada yada ya.
I would say "man I am not going to cingular forget that"

Vultures

It ought to be illegal to make your employees work at 7:30 am the day after Christmas. I seriously doubt we'll do any business today, other than a few returns. Of course, the vultures are already circling around the other stores. The mall doesn't open for three minutes but they've been here since I got here...there are two grown a$$ women standing with their fingers hooked in the security gates of the GAP, like they want to be the first ones in the store in case of a stampede. Except they're the only customers I've seen in this end of the mall.

LOL, the GAP just lifted their gates and these women actually ducked under as they were rising and ran into the store. Crazy!

Some people...

Just shouldn't have phones. Just had a guy come in wanting to know how to check his minutes from his phone. So I told him he can dial #646 and press send and it will send him a free text message or he can just listen. Well, he opted to listen but got confused when it asked him for his billing zip code 😳 . He looks at me confused, so I tell him he needs to enter his zip code. He stares at me, then starts saying "732" which would be the beginning of his home phone number. He enters the right number, listens, then hangs up and still looks confused. I then show him how to look up the text message that was sent, because this is usually easier. The text divides it out between peak, IN, n&w, etc. I tell him to just pay attention to the pe...

If customers read this forum...

My goodness what would they think of our behavior?

The wireless world and the customer's experience we provide ranks lowest only to the experience of purchasing a car!!!

The next time there is a layoff at the call center or your store comes up for closing because sales are down or churn is up remember this.

No one is holding a gun to your heads to keep this job. If you don't like dealing with customers, go work elsewhere.

Has this happened to you?

I work in a Verizon Mall Store, and someone just walked in and (No Joke) asked me if I sold Cingular Prepaid Phones. 🤨 I had to choke back my laughter and tell him no. Anyone experience this?

Asurion Car

So, like many people I am not a fan of Asurion (the company itself, not their reps necessarily)

Anyway,
I got a foam-rubber cell phone holder in the shape of a car with the Asurion logo on the hood (its one of those promo things). I think I am going to call Asurion and tell them my phone and "car" were stolen and ask if they will cover my "car" too since it was an "Asurion car" and completely omit the fact that its a foam car for promo stuff. And if they ask where it was when it was stolen I will say the "car" and phone were in my car just to confuse them more. And when they say that they won't cover the "car" or that I need to contact my auto insurance I will just keep re-iterating that its an "Asurion car".
I wish I were enough of a b...

Nothing has changed

So I've got this co-worker, and keep in mind we're in a call center (and our call center policy is that you may not have speakers hooked up to your computer, or any other devices playing music... period... I've had my little MP3 player on my desk playing some French stuff very quietly and gotten yelled at and my boss was trying to take it away like I'm in 3rd grade.) anyways, he's got a set of speakers with a freaking bass unit hooked up to his computer, blasting away. I've asked him once to turn the bass down at least as that carries across the floor and is distracting. Nothing has changed since twenty minutes ago. I'm about to go find a manager and have them take his damn speakers, this is getting old.

Customers who call in on the phone

When a customer calls in on the phone, don't you wish we had a little button we could press to shock 'em. Just a little bit 🤣

.......fa la la la f**king la

Why did our outsource decide to stop working on Christmas. 100 calls in queue. I've been placed in the customer care queue to help out. I'm only here because our center is one of two that stays open during holidays because of our specific dept. I want to poke my eye out, if one more asshat calls me over a billing issue.... thank you I feel better. a little

Bah Humbug

I'm one of the unfortunate CSR's that had to man the wireless forts today. And of course we've in queue with 60+ calls all day, it hit 141 at one point! Anyway...I HATE CDMA today because of all these damn activations. When I worked for "Orange company," christmas at work was spent reading, chillen, joking around with coworkers, and having a fun time...but this is much diff. This sucks. 2 more hours...f*** it

So the morning started out...

I was supposed to be here at 9... I live about 20 minutes away... I woke up, because I had mis-set my alarm, at 8:41... not a good start.

Fell out of bed, shaking my arm because it was asleep from the elbow down and grabbing frantically for pants. Fortunately I took a shower before bed because I didn't want to have to get up early... I ran out to the living room still pulling on my sweater and threw some hot-pockets into the microwave, ran to potty and put my contacts in before they were even out of the microwave, had my sweater on and all my gear in my various pockets before the microwave beeped. Grabbed a paper towel to hold them and ran down the stairs... I made it here with a minute to spare (don't ask how fast I drove, I can't coun...
