other companies policies

Why is it that people come into our stores and when they have a problem such as they don't like their phone and they have had it for 2 months and want a different make and model and when we tell them that they have to pay full retail they act like we killed their first born and claim that when they were with (instert carrier) they would have let them do it. And when you dismiss their claim they try to tell you that you are dead wrong.

Nah, I'm lying, you caught me.

Seriously...

I don't just make stuff up because it's funny. Really I don't, that would get me fired and it doesn't make any sense anyways.

First... no, we cannot cancel an order once it's placed. Not three minutes, not three SECONDS after it's placed. If you go on the web site and order something from us it's shipping out, you're going to get it... sorry, not question about it. I don't care if you didn't read the details closely enough and only paid attention to the bright flashing thing at the top that said we offer Saturday delivery... you have to SELECT and PAY FOR Saturday delivery to get the package on Saturday. "Overnight shipping" has a piece on the bottom that says that it's only on weekdays, that it won't ship on the week...

Why do Customers......?

Always want discounts on their phones but don't want to renew their contracts? But are the same people that has been with Company A for 1000 years? If you've been a loyal customer, why is signing the contract a bg thing?

Sidebar: Yesterday a woman came in wanting to upgrade. Because we are 3pty we can't do the new every two, 100 credit towards a new phone. So I gave her the location of a corporate store. For upgrades we give a $50 mail in. She wanted to know if she would be getting the $100 credit and the $50 mail in. I told her no. The phone is wanted was an V325i which is $99.99. Why would they give her the phone for free AND $50? She couldn't understand why not. Finally I told her it would be overkill. She left shaking her head. Got t...

Cripes! i can't stand when...

man, i can't take it when Mr. Religion Guy tries to leave his goofy leaflettes on my kiosk! he tries to fake me out now; waiting for me to get with a customer before dropping a stack on the backside edge of my kiosk! i've had him tossed outta the mall twice now.

anyone who gets 'saved' reading one of his little religious horror comics is a ding-dong!

what a waste of $$$$ and paper. i must throw away 30 a month. he could use his resources much better...

wow

I had one of the rare customers who understood the cost of a phone. Lost her phone with no insurance, and was understanding and just paid for the phone and car charger added insurance I couldn't believe it. Just a relief

I will never be happier than when Christmas is over

The mall is pure insanity today. The line for Santa is past the kiosk, which means trying to hear customers over screaming kids all day long. I attempted to go get a bottle of water earlier and the crowd was so thick and retarded that I actually gave up halfway to the food court and came back. And of course, no one is buying phones today, just a bunch of lookieloos and people who think they are smarter than me. I just had this exchange with a guy:

cust: I want two of these Katanas (currently BOGO), one for me and one for my wife, but she's not eligible for a new one yet. My buddy works for Sprint (SIGH) and I know there are tricks to getting this done.

me: Oh, such as?

cust: Well, you tell me.

me: You'd like me to assist you in ...

The reps read him the notes and he finally fessed up that he set up the promise to pay but when he did he didn't mean it because he wasn't thinking and we should give him a brea...

Christmas Give-a-way!

Any other stores out there do a giant give-a-way this time of the year? We're doing our drawing on Saturday for the truck we give away every year. I'm excited, I hope one of the customers from my store wins! Ooh what publicity that would be!

Seriously, can you be that oblivious?

She didn't know what phone she had, no clue...

I asked a number of questions...

Do you know who makes it? (Is is Motorola, Samsung, Nokia?) - Motorola

Is it open face or flip? - Flip

Does it have a camera? - I think so

Do you know if it has Bluetooth - What's that?

What color is it? ... - Bright Pink... We only carry one bright pink phone... period.

She had a RAZR... she was so unbelievably stupid that she didn't know she had a RAZR... the only phone name 99% of the population know and she didn't even know that.

What is a Troll / Trolling

I figured I should clear up the meaning of a term I have used... Troll

Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an on-line discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others.

Wow...that girl was really dumb @_@

So this lady came up to the kiosk with her daughter who is probably 15 or 16. The lady knows better than to trust her daughter to be added to her plan, but the girl really wants a cell phone and wants to buy her own Go Phone.

The mother wanted to know about the family plan they were on and how many rollover minutes they had, but had to leave for a moment and said I could just tell her daughter.

I got the phone number and then the conversation went downhill.

M - And what's the ZIP code on the account?

C - What?

M - The ZIP code on the account.

C - I don't know, what's that?

M (blank stare trying to determine if she was serious, decided she just didn't hear me) - The ZIP code.

C - I don't know what that is.

M - The ...

Why do customers think they know more than we do?

I've been told this too many times in the last few days......

"Well, Cingular and Verizon share towers, why don't you guys work over here!"

Well, I'll be! I guess the last 4 years of me selling VZW, I've been completely misinformed and wrong. I'm just gonna sit back and let all you customers run the show, since you apparantly know more about the business than I do!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have another customer who "has a friend that works for VZW in NY" (so he MUST be important ๐Ÿ™„ ) And he said that you guys are going to join up with Cingular and take over the cellular industry together, since you can't do it without eachother. ๐Ÿคจ
Sure Dude.....whatever you say!
Cingular and VIP
I hate the VIP program. I hate that because Cingular finds a customer profitable I'm supposed to take a hit on equipment costs. I know that I should be attempting to turn them to other equipment, however this isn't allways an option with some customers. Especially now that Cingular indirects are no longer allowed to select the "other" option.
My thoughts on this are that if Cingular wants to honor a customers quality patronage they should send them special rebate forms pretaining to specific devices. If you want them to have a $9.99 C417 then send them a $70 rebate. Let Cingular eat the loss. Any thoughts from you other Indirects?
