When typing an 8 and a close parenthesis, a 'cool' smiley is automatically inserted. This can be especially frustrating when trying to point out figures and facts in parenthesis, so I recommend changing the source code for the 'cool' emoticon.

the removal of a banned word? The word is c_ocky, and obviously I cannot type it because it will be starred. Of course, the root of the word contains a derogatory term, but it's such a shame that the word is unavailable for use. Perhaps you could ban just the root and allow c_ocky?

I think if you guys are not going to modify or change the review on this phone you should take the mesmerize name off of it. I know that they are actually the same phone but in your review you constantly talk about how the phone is cursed with bing and not google and and all the carrier bloatware. It should be noted that does not apply to the Mesmerize. I feel you guys are giving it a bad name by associating it with that review. Would you also start doing some reviews on U.S. Cellular specific phones, there are other sites that do them so I dont see any reason you cant. Thanks. 🙂

I'm not sure how you're implementing the search engine for forum searches, but something that's frustrated me for years has been the fact that if I search for more than one word, I get results for each word rather than results with all words in it.

For instance, today I searched for "wireless sync" in the Verizon forum. I had over 500 results, most of which were for "wireless" by itself. I didn't get only posts with "wireless" and "sync" in them, I got anything with "wireless sync," "wireless," and "sync." There's got to be a better way available to search the forums.

the comment you just deleted was totally fair game in my opinion. It was merely a play on words on a certain user's s/n. I know arguing this is moot, but I just wanted to point out that no personal offense was intended. 😉

Capacitive/Resistive? AMOLED/LCD?

Is this something that could be implemented in the "Display" portion of phone specs? As more phones start moving toward capacitive screens, it's nice to know if a new phone is resistive.

When you are looking at the list of devices for the Carriers you can sort by "technology" when you this option is selected it should split it by the different types within the same technology.

what i mean is when looking under WCDMA it should be split by WCDMA/HSDPA/HSPA/HSPA+

or CDMA, REV.0 devices/REV.A/REV.B

Since the majority of devices are either 2G or 3G now I think this will offer even better categorizing among seemingly like devices
