Disappointment
Oct 20, 2009, 10:09 PM
in the HTC Pure / Touch Diamond2 forum

The HTC Tilt2 by AT&T Wireless was sheer disappointment. This phone has nice features, which are great. The toushscreen response is very slow and it really lags. This could really be a good phone otherwise. It has really great features otehrwise.

Re: Stay with Verizon or move to Cingular
Jun 3, 2007, 12:18 AM
in the BlackBerry Curve 8300 forum

Mif, I go up and down the east coast and never have I had a problem with Cingular service. Cingular has given me coverage in areas where no one else had coverage including Verizon Wireless. I've gotten coverage in major metropolitan areas, as well as suburban and rural areas with Cingular. It has been great for me. My brother has Cingular and travels all over the country and the only place he's had issues with Cingular coverage was in ...

I wish it released the version with the camera on it at the same time. I prefer the full keyboard but enjoy the option of having the camera on my phone as well.

Having the latest software update for the Pearl also helps with this as well. A lot of the bugs that were found in the Pearl when it was first released September 12, 2006n have been fixed with the new software updates.

Re: anyone find it slow?
Dec 27, 2006, 8:48 PM
in the HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur) forum

I do not find it slow either. I have been using it since it was released. If you don't close out the running apps and delete temp files, as you do a windows PC, then it will run slow and/or some apps won't run at all because it'll tell you that you don't have enough memory to do so. It has good reception, good call quality, loud speakerphone (much louder than the Pearl who's battery door covers the speaker). ...

Look on www.smartphone.net or www.handango.com or www.smartphone-freeware.com or the like. You can also google windows mobile 5 applications. I seem to think that I have seen some type of antivirus software. I'll look again to see if I can find exactly where I saw it.

Re: Email on unlocked phone
Dec 27, 2006, 8:18 PM
in the HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur) forum

You need a data plan with Cingular to be able to use the email. If I'm not mistaken, once you get the settings for Cingular set up on the Dash, then that should remove the T-Mobile software. Cingular's data support department should be able to give you the settings with no problem. You may be able to send them to your phone via Cingular's website. IF not, then contact their data support department. They should ...

Are the bluetooth headsets paired with your device yet? Is the bluetooth on your Dash turned on as well? I've noticed that when I receive phone calls that although my bluetooth headset is paired with my Dash that I have to go into the menu when on a phone call and turn on the on if I answer from the Dash, but if I answer from the bluetooth headset then I don't have to do that. Send more details about your ...

BB no mo, tmail is the email acount that comes with the sidekick. Tmail is for the sidekick only and doesnt carry over to other data devices at T-Mobile. You should be able to use the BB data plan with the Nokia E61 with no problem from my understanding. Yet, you're correct the total internet add on plan is for the MDA, Dash, etc and not for BB devices or Devices that support BB connect. Im not sure ...

It was in one of the threads on the sk3. Of course, all of these dates that people are throwing out is just speculation. T-Mobile nor Danger has not announced any dates..

Re: Is this really true?

T-Mobile can roam off of Cingular towers. Hence, the change in all of T-Mobile's latest phones including the 850 MHz band. If you take a look, only the older models of T-Mobile's phones do not include the 850 MHz band.

Re: Questions about the 8700
Jan 31, 2006, 9:16 PM

The sound quality on the 8700c is much better than that of the Treo 650. I used the Treo 650 prior to this and had to purchase that application volume care to be able to hear what was going on whether in quiet or noisy situations. I have used the speakerphone in my car with the radio on and could hear the caller and the caller could hear me with no problem. When using the handset, I can ...

You can use Google Alerts, CNN alerts, or other types of alerts for the scores. You can use your web browser and check the scores. Personally, I use an RSS feeder which works well for me. With the alerts, you have the scores sent at the end of the quarter, half, inings, etc or just the final score. It just depends on what you're looking for and how you want it sent and how often. ...

Treo isn't a stable device whereas the BlackBerry is a stable device. Someone mentioned earliuer that you can't use the BB for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc, but you can. You would have to pay to have the applications added on to your BB. Now, the BlackBerry also has the full wireless keyboard that you can use with it just as the Treo does. If you're looking for multimedia features on a smartphone, then the Treo would be the ...

Re: LG - Nokia
Jan 31, 2006, 8:46 PM

Nokia is a better overall product than Nokia. Nokia has better reception, better battery life, better quality, etc. The LG F9100 was okay but a much better product than the other LG phones. I haven't used the F9200, but I do know that the other LG's that are currently listed on the Cingular website are terrible phones as far as reception and there's a lot of complaints about the reception.

Yes, it is very much time to replace the sidekick2. Sales really took off for this device, especially when you have stars that are 40 years old plus (i.e. Paula Abdul) carrying them around. The SK2 is featured on a lot of sitcoms as well. I have even noticed that even just while shopping recently that I have seen at seen at least 3 SK2s purchased. Re: Released but not on the Cingular website
Jan 17, 2006, 7:58 PM

You've got that one right!!! I checked the Cingular website earlier today expecting this phone to be released but it wasn't on the website. Yet, it is still on the rebate forms. Cingular needs to get a new person to be in charge of their marketing as well as someone else in charge of their product line up. They're really missing out on a lot. Verizon surely knows how to advertise. Although T-Mobile doesn't have the coverage ...

The Motorola A 630 was released only in certain market areas--specifically those where Cingular took over the SunCom stores. I purchased two of them and had posted pictures back in last April of it. The Nokia 9300 was released to the business sector. I'm not sure if it is still available now. Yes, that's a terrible thing because there are non-business people who aren't able to purchase through the business sector that would love to have had that phone ...

Yes, they'll cancel your insurance. I have two lines on my account--one being a BlackBerry and the other being a V551. They told me that I can only have the insurance on the V551, but tnot the BlackBerry. They dropped the insurance from the BlackBerry. I have had insurance on the both lines since I started my contract in 2004. All Cingular did was give me a credit for the past two months of insurance ...

Actually, Cingular did have a version of this phone in April 2005 which was sold in select markets. I purchased one myself. I showed the pictures of it to quite of few of the people here on the forum. This post was under the Motorola A 630 link on this website. Although Cingular offered it in select markets, Cingular didn't support it even if you had insurance on it. You would have to send ...

Re: nokia 1100 sim work with z520?
Dec 27, 2005, 10:46 AM
in the AT&T forum

Maverick, that's how Cingular is getting its money. They have to do something to "pimp" their long time customers since they're losing a lot of its customer base to Verizon. It seems that they don't value loyalty for some reason or another.

Re: changing rate plans
Dec 27, 2005, 10:40 AM

You would be prorated for the charges should you switch. Also, you more than likely won't get penalized being that you just signed up for the contract on the family plan. Some reps will tell you that changing the rate plan, will change your contract date while others will say that it won't change your contract. From my personal experience, I changed my family plan to a lower plan after my first month because I had way too many ...

I believe that both things may be true. I have seen some American Idol commercials about 2 weeks ago stating that the first show will be January 17, 2006. Yet, the Cingular sales reps keep saying that it will be any day now. Yeah...right... This phone has been on the rebate sheet since early November. How do you place phones on a rebate sheet that haven't been released by your company and may not ever be ...
