Anyone heard of the new Treo 800p.. or Treo 800WX?? Is this phone for real? and is it true that Sprint might be releasing it right after the holidays season!
This is not the new Centro or Gundiff. It is suppose to be top-notch Palm phone that will compete with many high end phones with other carriers: EV-DO capability, 128MB RAM, WiFi “optionâ€Â, SD expansion, Bluetooth 2.0, enhanced 320 x 320 display, 3.2 megapixel camera, external antenna, and is both slimmer & slightly smaller than the current 650 yet still supports the same ol’ accessories!!
I've googled it many times but I'm yet to hear any solid confirmation!!
I just got my new Treo 755 so i'm first learning everything about it. I have a ringtone i downloaded on my phone but it only plays in the p tunes after i download and save. How do i convert it to ringtones. I was told by someone else when the song plays i should pause it and then save it as a voice memo, but it doesn't show up there either. Any ideas from anyone.
I just got a Treo 755p from eBay and it works great so far on Alltel's network.
Is there a way to unlock some of the favorites that Alltel includes by default? For example, I don't want the OfficeSync, Email, Get Apps or Bluetooth items cluttering up the front page of my Favorites menu, but when I try to edit them, move them, etc., the phone prevents me from doing so.
I'm a new user of 755p with sprint. I have company email that I set up with a pop account. I can send and receive mail fine. However, everytime i want to get new email I have to press GET. It doesn't come in automatically like other phones I used before that have Windows mobile. Do I have to change a setting or do I have to get a secondary program (if so which is recommended). Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks! - Swan
does anybody know are u capable to get all of ur aim buddies in example like 150 or 200 buddies not like the other phones to get 30 buddies please resond soon would like to get the phone asap for verizon
With my Treo 700wx I had a silicone cover that covered the keys as well, made typing on it A LOT EASIER, apparently they decided not to do this en mass with the 755P's as none of the major carriers have ones that cover the keyboard too...Does anyone know of a retailer (especially one that is a large chain that I can walk into to buy) that has the silicone covers for 755p's that covers the keyboard too?
I found a few places online that had packs of covers (one pink, one black, one white in a $30 3 pack) but I just need one and would prefer not to pay $30+ for a $12 item.
The price of the phone is $449, but the online discount price is $349. Also, if you're upgrading to a PDA you get an advanced device credit of $100. In addition, if you are up for an upgrade you get another $100 off the of the price. Finally, you get a $50 mail in rebate.
I paid $150 for the phone tonight and will send in for the rebate making the phone $100.
I was just wondering if the hardware on the 755P is the same internally as it was with the 700P and 700WX's or if it's new/different hardware inside? I've heard some of the treo line new models have just been same guts, different casing/face etc (maybe newer software) and want to know if that's the case with the 755P or if it is indeed new hardware.
I am hoping to be able to run two different calendars... one for work that would sync with the exchange server, and the second, a personal calendar (for home and family). I don't really want everyone at work to have access to my personal calendar on an exchange server. I know that Outlook supports this, but does the Palm OS?
I had to send my 755p back to Palm for a warranty repair about a month ago. Palm states in their RMA email that you must provide insured shipping both ways. It only cost me $33. They also detail that the unit must be well packaged to avoid shipping damages, naturally. Well, I got it back today. My expertly repaired Palm (not replaced with a new unit) was waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home. I did not know what was in the package and was surprised when I opened it. In that thinly-padded envelope, in a cardboard sleeve was my utterly destroyed 755p, complete with non-insured shipping label (they didn't use my prepaid, insured return for some reason). I honestly don't see how the unit could have survived given the packaging th... (continues)
It ain't much, but here is something from Verizon:
Fast, powerful, and intuitive, the Treo 755p delivers everything you need in one stylish device including wireless email, a built-in web browser and rich media capabilities. The slimmed-down form factor of this smartphone comes with full QWERTY keyboard and color touch-screen to make composing email and surfing the web easy.
No definition of "soon", but at least they say it is coming on their website.
