Re: Employee discount with Sprint
from what I have been told it is already the "perfectly priced" plan so it is not discountable. The 89.99 has limited minutes and they allow discounts on limited minute plans (price at or over 39.99/mo). Who knows why they make the rules they make. :)
Re: Employee discount with Sprint
why don't you get the 900 everything data? It is 89.99 but you can get your employee discount. It includes the any mobile any time so if you call alot of cell phones it could be as good as the unlimited.
Re: They asked for it... (I'm sure)
I work in a mall store (actual store not a kiosk) and so far this year we have had the mall security called twice while I was here. The first time a lady came in with her 3 year old and was mad because she broke her new phone, didn't have insurance and wanted a new one for the 50 deductible she could have had if she had bought insurance and was not willing to upgrade to a ...
Re: Sprint selling iDen network in iPCS territory - anyone heard anything?
Yeah I am working for sprint nextel selling nextel only in ipcs territory so we are well aware that jan 26th we can no longer sell nextel in the icps territory. I guess what I am really looking for is if anyone has heard about potential buyers or shut down of sprints nextel stores in the territory. we are just kinda going day by day wondering when we are going to get our severance and what our job ...
Re: SERO Plan Phone Upgrade Questions
I was just being nice.
He was talking about an old plan - it states right in the document:
"Note: SERO rate plans are NOT compatible with the Samsung Instinct or the Palm Pre. If you have one of these devices, the best plan options are
the Everything Plus Data rate plans."
I wrote what I found about the sero plan and it was my opinion as stated. So I don't see a problem with that or a need to be rude. Also, ...
Re: SERO Plan Phone Upgrade Questions
Hi JM,
From just the little info I looked up for you the instinct and the palm pre are not able to go on sero plans. You have to switch to regular consumer to use those.
I couldn't find anything about where to upgrade. My opinion is that you should be able to upgrade over the phone or in store any place. The account is on a retention plan but still ran under your ss# and such so ...
Re: Handset Upgrade Fees
I think the upgrade fees suck too and i'm comming from a retail rep stand point. I sell for sprint and the only time you get a fee is if you buy the phone in store. Telesales are allowed to waive the fees and the internet sales do too last I knew. We can't do any credits for fees anymore and the only time a customer gets out of the fee is if they have a ...
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
:) its all good
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Dude I work at a corporate store! my paycheck comes from sprint. i just work in ipcs territory and can only sell nextel. the closest sprint corp store is 1.5 hours away!
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Yeah the court is giving Sprint Nextel untill Jan 26 2010 to divest the markets. It is published all over the place.
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Yeah it's just a waiting game I guess
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
I'm not a bro lol. :)
So do you know anything about the sale of the iden network in ipcs territory? They arn't telling us anything...just working each day waiting for the axe!
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
I know it isn't possible, it isn't suppose to be possible anyways. Really though, he comes in and tells us this AND passes up going to a blackberry so he can keep his good service. Why would he lie? It makes me wonder...
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Yeah it shows as an i850 in the system and he was actually in my store in person with the i850 device. He wanted to upgrade to the 8350i but he was afraid he would loose his "cdma fix" so he didn't upgrade. He said he went to some third party and the guy "changed it to cdma" for him and has gotten service all over since then.
A few months ago I had a lady ...
Re: Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Yeah that is what you would think but it is not a powersource phone! He has an i850!
Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?
Alright so I work in a corporate nextel only store and I had a customer come in and say that he went someplace and they switched his iden device to sprint cdma - not possible right? His phone still shows up in the system as iden. He can now get service though where nextel has no service (michigan upper peninsula). He also said that he has a buddy that when he gets to the U.P. dials a ...
Re: Plans
ha ha yeah sorry. People come in all the time from third parties that were told they get the discount and cant. its fun.
Re: Plans
what's built into the system?
i'm a retail rep for sprint btw.
Re: Research In Motion BlackBerry Curve 8350i
Nope, you can not use the i920, i930, 7100i or the 8350i (actually no smartphone at all) on Boost mobile. The text messaging and data are ran through a different part of the network that boost can not utilize. There are some people that claim they can have the phones modified in the 'hood' to cheat the system but I havn't seen one yet. The best bet is to get the new clutch i465 if you ...
Re: Plans
We havn't had anything formal come down in terms of new plans comming up for sprint. I don't know what the pick 5 is but the plans come with unlimited mobile to mobile so if you talk to alot of people on the sprint/nextel/virgin mobile/boost network it doesn't use your minutes. If you do 1500 or 3000 minute plans you can receive discounts off your monthly plan for your job, being a credit union member or even ...
Re: ESN checks accurate?
When I check for an esn for customers we use our regular software that we sell and activate phones in that shows everything that has went on with the phone, when active, what number it had, etc. It is possible the rep just lied and never checked. I was never told that I should do a 'trial activation' when checking an esn but i've only been with sprint for 9 months...
Re: Want to port. Need Phone help..
You can also still get discounts through sprint from most employers, colleges or for even being a member of a credit union or AOL. The only restriction is that discounts do not apply to the simply everything plan.
