You will also need to activate the sim that comes with the phone. New network enhancements to help the wi-fi calling features. Update should come within a few days.

Right now you can't charge via WiFi. I think you are referring to wireless inductive charging. This allows you to charge with no cord. I suppose if you use WiFi when you do this it could be considered WiFi charging?

It's been selling out all over. All of the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas have been selling out same day. The website and customer care are selling out fast. I am glad to see that T-Mobile has a killer device, but I have to think like 25% of their customer are smart phone owners now lol.

Yeah I am going to have to disagree with your statement that is a 3 mile radius. I live outside of Dallas, TX that has 30,000 people. I have 3G there, I have it in every city in the Dallas/Fort Worth area which is well over 100 sqaure miles. Even in small towns I have perfect coverage with T-mobile.

There are a lot of idiots who can't drive while talking on a cell phone, but there are a lot more who can. It is only 6% of accidents, if it were closer to a quarter, then sure lets get rid of it, but thats not the case. I agree with no texting or using internet, but talking isnt anyworse that talking to a passenger.

Well also look at this point, as Rich said they focus on affordability, but i would expect to see some new killers phones when 3G is finally in full swing. You can't really start showing these new amazing must have phones with 3G if there is not a known date at which the government will release the spectrum to you.
Also, they are rumored to be the first company that will sell an Andriod phone, which by the looks ...

Well as much as i want to believe it, i dont think they will have a dash two this year, based on pricing alone, its still $150 bucks. Still sells, and people still think its a bad@$$ phone.

Well again to an extent. It will have a very graphics based interface, but its not the same. An orange is similar to a grapefruit but not the same.
And the Dash 2 I don't see happening this year because the Dash is still a very current phone due to the 6.0 update, the only thing they could really do would be to add more memory and a faster processor, which would be great but probably won't happen.

6.1 is not on the Shadow, 6.1 has not been officially released. The Shadow has a modified UI but still runs 6.0. Although from the stuff I have seen its very similar.
The Shadow does have the bes UI of any WM phone i have seen, and its cake to use. The UI was actually developed with Microsoft, HTC, and T-Mobile.
As for the upgrade, The Dash can handle it, i have seen it on a Q9 (all the ...

Both Motorola and Sprint are dying companies, focusing on money more than what the consumer actually wants. Recent Moto phones have been a joke, aside from the Q, when was the last time they actually innovated beyond the RAZR? and as for Sprint, they still charge too much for their service. They have some good phones, but i'm betting they will be edged out by Altell in the next 2 years, and sprint will slowly die.

I just got my dash last week and i love it! but my question is, does anyone know of any good programs or trusted free programs available to windows mobile 6 users? I just feel like i could load it up some more and make it killer. Thanks

Windows Mobile phones from the last couple years have Aim and Yahoo. This wouldn't be a horrible thing for Sidekicks, they need some better usability, and function put into their OS, and don't just think that Microsoft will just change everything, if they do it will be closer to the Shadow, would that be so terrible?

I think you are mistaken. the only touch screen phone i have heard about coming out on t-mobile from HTC is the Touch Cruise. This thread is not about that though, it is about the Andriod phone T-Mobile WILL have and about its 3G service.

As for who makes it, its going to be a toss up between HTC and Samsung. For a company like LG or SE, they would need to negotiate handset contracts that would mast likely secure them phones from both carriers for at least 5 years and that could get very pricey for T-Mobile. Obviously man, I just enjoy the perks of having a carrier branded phone, I'm lazy and don't feel like putting in the minimal effort to set it up. Plus I'm cheap so I can get it for $200 instead of the $400 (made up prices) unbranded.

Exactly, it sounds like someone had a bad experience once. SE devices really aren't that great but this one, (made by HTC or not) looks really promising, if it launches on T-Mobiles 3G (if that ever comes out) I'm getting it.

Yeah there has been a lot more information since my original post. But the most interesting think i have read so far, is that the ceo will be personally taking over the phone division to try to revive it. I'm not a fan of Moto but thats a gutsy move and they deserve some props for that.
