T-MOBILE IS RELEASING AN ANDROID PHONE THIS YEAR!
Hey, our store was just visited by our 3rd in command from T-Mobile and she was mentioning that along with the expansion of our Talk Forever phone line up this summer, T-mobile is releasing around thanksgiving a pda that, she says, will blow IPHONE out of the water. She wouldn't say what it was or who was making it.
Well, I found THIS today in the news. I'm betting that whatever the phone is going to be, it's operating system is going to have android on it.

I was told by the same lady 3g wont be in full effect until Q1 of 09, which really frustrated me, btw.

I will believe it when I see it. They jumped on the aws when they should have waited maybe until this one. And now the DHS has no timeline when they must vacate the spectrum that tmobile won.

Yezzir, 3G Will be here by summer, if it isnt, then t-mobile lied to cnet which means they lied to me.
But its not like it matters Im switching myself over to AT&T until t-mobile can get the 3G up and running.
Im not even going to try having the LG Viewity on t-mobile because I personally dont feel like waiting 5minutes for a youtube vid to load.

So from what I heard, 3G will start rolling out in the summer. Engadget Mobile has info here:

As for who makes it, its going to be a toss up between HTC and Samsung. For a company like LG or SE, they would need to negotiate handset contracts that would mast likely secure them phones from both carriers for at least 5 years and that could get very pricey for T-Mobile. As for Nokia, it would be nice to see some of the higher en Nokia's in the line up, but again that would require pricey handset negotiations between the company.
