No analogue?!

Does the v600 have analogue?! Would it be a problem if it didn't, I'm assuming not all areas have digital available!

I got a guy who can get me a v600, should I be scared?

I got a guy who can get me a v600 next week in Long Island for $250 and a put it on the Attws network. Does anyone know why I should be skeptical of this? It seem like a dream come true.

V600 to Tmobile

Spoke w/ a Motorola rep and he said that Tmobile should have this phone 2nd Quarter, 3 months after Att.. So, I definetelly don't think Att is the only provider.. Looks like companies want to let Att get all the bugs out, then jump on it..

Just got the new v600...

Just received the new v600 from a friend that is head of cell phones @ Motorola. The phone is really great but still has some bugs to fix in it. Apparently there is another software update in which i need to get done. I am using it for T-mobile and it seems to be working great so far. According to my source..the v600 is going to be first released to att and then later to other carriers. Everyone that sees the phone says it is very sleek and would like to purchase one themselves. Used to have the v300 which was also great but i like the v600 alot better. They both use the same software. All in all...this is a great phone with everything i ever need for right now!

Merger Implications

Ok, everyone...don't freak out about a merger. I have been through a few mergers and I must say the integration typically does not impact the customers very much. There is usually consolidation at the corporate levels, but the service usually stays the same. The network that services ATTW customers will not change. Sometimes customer service centers consolidate and there is some short-term impact there, but usually temporary until they work out the kinks.

Don't worry, the sky is not falling.

Any questions if the Motorola V600 is to be offered by the latter might be settled in this article.

V600 Vs. 6620

I've been waiting for the v600 since summer 2003 when I heard about it comming out. But now I see the nokia 6620, which has all the features the v600 has, plus card slot expansion and EDGE. Is anyone else having second thoughts about the v600 since it has taken so long to be released?

does anyone have bluetooth?

If I get a V600 and a bluetooth adapter for my laptop, would I be able to use my V600 to dial my laptop into the web? Essentially this would mean I could have internet anywhere I could get a cellphone signal right? And if this is so, then wouldn't that also mean that using the internet like this would only use my unlimited minutes on my cell plan?

GSM/GPRS/EDGE oh my?

Okay, throw me a bone for answering the price question everyone's been wondering about, and pardon what may be a stupid question...

So, the V600 is a GSM phone -- Great. But looking on AT&T's web site they have a few different network/plan coverage areas:

1) Local -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS)
2) National -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS)
3) National -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS/EDGE)
4) ATT Wireless Digital One Rate -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS)
5) Family Local -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS)
6) Family National -Next Generation (GSM/GPRS)

Which of these are supported by the phone?

Specifically can the phone do GPRS? what about EDGE?

Thanks!

best way to get v600 when it's available?

I have been with ATTWS for about 25 days, and therefore can still quit my contract.

I was wondering if it would be better to do this, then sign up again when the v600 comes out (probably with a 1 year contract) and get the phone for less, or just stay with my current contract and see if ATTWS will offer me a deal on the v600 when it comes out?

Does ATTWS offer any discounts on new phones for current customers (other than the free phone every year program with people who have 2 year contracts?)?

Would like to know if Cingular Wireless is going to offer the Motorola V600 this year? I've heard rumors that it will be offered. Please let me know. Thanks.

v600 $299 w/2 yr contract @ ATT

Though I would much prefer that everyone just believe that I have some kind of inside information, my better angels have convinced me otherwise...

Source: http://www.attwireless.com/press/releases/200 4_releases/010804.jhtml

Key information:
"Pricing and Availability

The Motorola V600 will be available in February at AT&T Wireless stores for $299 with a two-year service contract."

Cheers!
