Address book and Motorola (iSync)

For those Macintosh fans out there, if Motorola doesn't have multiple entries per person, how does that work with iSync?
Example john doe has 3 phone numbers under the one name, will V600 figure that out and vise versa?

thanks

MP3 ringtones.

Alright guys, we're about one week away from the launch date (Feb 2) I've played with a V400 and I know that it has similar software for the most part. According to the Cingular rep I talked to, while the phone does indeed have MP3 ringtones, they are limited. Obviously the V600 does not have a MMC or any expansion card and the data cable is not included. (although attainable)

The limitations as explained to me, were that MP3 ringtones could only be 64 k bts as far as compression quality, and there asides from the % MB memory there was a limitation as far as memory for MP3s.

So here's the challenge. What is the easiest way to get MP3 ringtones on our phone, for free? Of course I have little doubt service providers will have premium c...

Dispelling myths about the Motorola V600

I've read alot of this board and hopefully I will provide some info and lower the level of confusion about this phone. I am an employee of AT&T Wireless, and I've followed everything about this phone.

First of all, this phone has been manufactured for AT&T Wireless. Not T-Mobile, and not in any recent future for Cingular. Even if Cingular buys AT&T, it will take them at least a year for any major changes. Cingular's version is the V400 and T-Mobile's is the V300. No those phones don't have bluetooth. No those phones dont have interchangable aluminum housings. Big deal. Thats why AT&T's version is the last to be released. (Best for last, you know?)

Secondly, if you go into an AT&T Wireless store and ask to purchase a phone so you can g...

V600 will work on T-Mobiles Network

A friend in Italy is trying to get me two unlocked phones. I spoke to the Manager at a T-Mobile store in Plano, TX today in anticipation of getting the phones. He said as long as the phones are unlocked it will work on their network, because the phone works on all the GSM frequencies worldwide. Any advice on this?

He also said that they should be getting the phones around the beginning of the summer. The key word being should. Things can change.

I'm with Sprint right now, but I would rather wait for T-Mobile to get the phone because I have been burned by AT&T customer service in the past and I swore I would never use or buy anything AT&T again if I can help it.

The Bottom Line

Enought is Enough.. I can careless who u have service with and how good u think your service is.. To each his own.. I just want the phone and working.. Is that asking to much.. I'm sure we all will get the phone one day and hopefully will be satisfied, with all the hype.. Let's hope it's just that.. HYPE.. So, pls take that nonsense about which carier is better to another forum..

Okay, Settle Down People

Alright, let's all start acting a little more mature here with your comments regarding other users. I know everyone here loves this phone and would like to be the first person to have it. But remember, this is ONLY a phone for crying out loud.

Everyone seems to be a bit frazzled because of the constant delays and waiting for this apparently great phone. I am still using an old Nokia 5190 that I got for free years ago. The battery is dying so I practically need it plugged in while I'm talking or it dies! I am desperate for a new phone, but I've made the conscious decision to wait for the V600.

It's easy to be brave and call names when you are a faceless handle on a message board, so remember...would you make these same comments t...

Question to (RSD 317) Or any Attwireless customers???

One quick question to RSD317 you stated that you been with attwireless for 4 1/2 years and that their service is not so good, you get overcharged on youre monthy bills right. where exacly do you live and where primarily do you use the service???

My question come for this simply reason that I have service with T-Mobile and love there servive here in the Houston Area but been waiting for this phone for the longest and I made up the decision to move to att. service when the phone comes out but still dont know how there good or bad there service really is , so with youre comment Iam thinking twice about swithing the service provider....
But not on purchasing the phone the phone is with out a doubt is great .Would aprreciate in comments over ...

Read Prior Posts Before Asking Questions

I am astonished how many of the same questions are repeated by different individuals only days/hours apart. Please take the time to scroll through the subject lines to see if the question you have has been posed and answered previously. I don't know how many times I've seen "Will Cingular or T-Mobile carry this phone?" If you just searched down a few lines you would have seen this question was answered about a dozen times before.

Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous with the constantly repeating questions.

ATTWS Employee Price

Does any ATTWS employee know what the price on the V600 for employees I know it will be more than for customers but how much more?
If anyone knows it would be apprecited!

In case your wondering why it would be more is cuz they dont make a profit on direct ATTWS employees therefore we pay full price for equipment.

V600 in Chicago?

For whatever it's worth, I walked into my local ATTws store and asked a manager about the V600 launch dates. According to her, the V600 was launched in Chicagoland stores on Monday. Can anyone confirm? Or, is this just yet another rumor. Just wondering... 😕

Purchasing from AT&T retail stores?

Hi,
Would it be possible to purchase only the instrument from AT&T retail stores and then unlock it later to use on (say) a T-Mobile network? I currently have a T-Mobile SIM that I would be able to use. Thanks.
