Motorola V600

How Much do u think this PHone will be??? 😳

I just purchased the Bluetooth headset from motorola. They just came back in stock so I am assuming when the phone comes out they will run out again..everyone might want to buy ahead of time just to be safe...

The atlantic region Motorola representative, Jonathan Keeney visited my store today in Maryland. Of course he had a live V600! He dispelled alot of things. First off, I will post pics later!! Of the new phone, of the moto rep, his businesscard and the official preview slick for the phone! Check back tonight around 8pm eastern if interested.

Here's the scoop:

The v600 was delayed for a minor software error. Basically, the phone's screen would go black, much like the old Motorola T720 series. His interpretation is that the phone will still be availible by the end of February!! Nothing promised though.

Secondly, T Mobile customers: TOUGH LUCK. Your carrier has zero chance of getting a T Mobile branded phone. Sorry. However, he confirme...

I have been watching the NBA All Star Weekend programs and I have seen several people using the phone on T.V. Has anyone else noticed it, and if so what's the deal with that? Is the phone out in the L.A. market?

As I posted previously, I will be calling the NBO sales center tomorrow morning at 7am CST to find out if the phone is available as they still indicated as of Friday afternoon.

I wanted to add my two cents on one other possible time frame if not tomorrow. I know it's all speculation and who knows what the hell is going on in reality around this phone.

I checked the Moto V600 free headset promotion page just a minute ago and it still referenced the expiration date on that promotion as March 31st, 2004. My hope is that it will be available tomorrow morning; however if it is not, I think it could be March 1st. The Oscars are on Sunday February 29th and that phone will be used by many of the stars. I stopped in the AT&T Store that I work at to pick up my paycheck and when I was there we had about 25 of the phones locked up in a closet. So I am guessing that this monday really is it than..We're under STRICT orders not to take the phones out of the closet, touch them or even look at them..until monday morning my manger said..

Firstly Starr06 or whatever...get a life. You are playing mr "I told you so" and of all the people who need to chill out, its you. You're right its just a phone but why try and curb others enthusiasm? That is what this forum is for!

Regarding your question, we are expecting the V600 to be available for purchase at the stores by the third week of February 2004. Note that this phone will be supported by AT&T and we cannot anticipate another service provider will carry this model in the near future.

I work at a T-mobile Call Center and there is are 2 motorola reps here today.. One has the V600 and hooked up through tmobile. The phone is great! Word from them is that TMOBILE WILL CARRY THIS PHONE IN APRIL!!! If you don't believe me.. That's your problem.. I will go back and ask question about the so called delays later.. But thought I'de let the Tmobile peeps in here the Good News..

This is what I got in response to an email I sent earlier today from a motorola rep. So, much like hot_md_guy just said, it's still possible to be released this month, however she (the motorola rep) didn't say anything about software issues.

Regarding your concern, we are expecting the Motorola V600 to be launched by the first week of february 2004.
Actually, there was a delay, due to licensing issues with the FCC . We apologize for the
inconvenience this might cause you.

We are going to ship it to ATT only at first on the third week of February, so they will only release it in those areas

am i alone in thinking that by the time this phone does make it out to the public it will already be obsolete? 1, 3, 6, 9, 1yr delays and the competition is going to zooooooom past moto.

what's this this 2 month "software delay"? are they saying they didn't check the software all along? kinda funny that they only notice such a "serious" problem right befire the phone is to debut.

I just went to my att store and the guy who always helps me out said he got an email today saying that the V600 is not coming out till APRIL. This is what I heard from his lips to your computer screens. I hope he is wrong. I hope somebody can prove me wrong.

I give up...Im tired of all the delays I went in on the V600 a month ago hoping it would come out but ehh. The push backs and the delays its just not worth it. Its been nice reading your post guys and being a part of the doomed V600 club. Good luck guys I hope you get your phones.

I still stand by the date of February 16th as the official release date nationwide.

I'll willing to hedge a guess that we will start to see people turn up with the phone as soon as the 13th. I'm sure the phone is in the process of getting out to the retailers as I type this. And with as many rabid people that have posted on this forum, I am sure we will all use whatever resources and contacts we have to finally get this phone.

As far as unlocking goes, I still have no idea where anyone can have a phone unlocked. Right now, I am using a Cingular V400 which comes unlocked. I popped my AT&T SIM in and it was good to go. I used AT&Ts website to program my mMode and MMS over the air.

Okay people. How about we just continue to sit and wait patiently for this phone instead of coming up with dates from sources, etc?

The only TRUE way of knowing WHEN the phone will be released is when it ACTUALLY hits the stores. Feb 16th, early March, Summer, Fall, next year, NEVER... are not solid dates because they can easily change at the drop of a dime.

Stop getting all sensitive over a cell phone and trying to become "Mr./Mrs. I Told You So".

Lets keep it in perspective people.

Yes.. It's finally here.. Now I know i can get the phone because I know several people w/ ATT; but I'm going to need to get it unlocked.. Any info from non-ATT people?

Jonathan Keeney, the Motorola rep for the midatlantic called me this morning and confirmed the V600 has had a software problem and is indeed delayed. According to Mr Keeney, the phone will not be released for the very minimum another two weeks. Forget the 9th, the 13th, or the 16th. The phone may not see the first week of March! This is terrible. Mr Keeney will be in my store tomorrow with his beta V600. I will take some pictures and ask as many questions as I can for you guys. Hopefully it is only a minor setback!!!

They gave the phones out already to the nominees to use at the Oscars in a few days

They WONT release them to the public UNTIL after the Oscars

Ok So I don't know anything about a release date but my store and all the other stores HAS Been getting information and promo material for the store..this always means that the phone will be out SOON.
Like usually within the next month for SURE.

As I mentioned in a post yesterday, the Business Foundation Account Center told me they had an availability date of February 16th. He did mention there was not a price listed on their sheet yet, but did confirm the date with another rep in their sales group.

It seem with other's posting regarding availability on February 16th, that this will hopefully be the latest launch date for this phone.
