Motorola V600

Getting frustrated here. I have been checking for this phone since about late September, early October. Great news for all you Chicagoans (my home town) and others where the phone is being quoted as imminently available.

I live in NYC; and every rep I've talked to or asked is COMPLETELY CLUELESS as to the ETA on this phone. From the customer service reps at the 800 numbers to the reps in the stores (Madison Ave at 47th, and Broadway at 78th St) to even our corporate account rep. So if there is anyone here who lives in NY and can pass along some credible info when the phone launches and is available here in NY, I'd be very appreciative of said info.

From the Chicago Tribune:

"The V600 is scheduled to be available starting Friday at AT&T Wireless stores."

I think I'll go with this date ... if only to help me feel better 😛

Just had a coupla questions, i currently have a v400 and really dont see the need to get the 600, now the question I have is..my v400 from cingular comes Factory unlocked, i've tested it out and its worked with many diff. sim chips...now will the v600 be factory unlocked?..and also...will AT$T sell it at retail price? so u can jus buy the phone str8 out?..or no?

I was in a Cingular store today trying to get a deal on 3 phone family plan ( My family all still have the Nokia 8260's) anyway I wanted to get the v400 it went down to $99 with rebate. I overheard him say to another cust. About the Bluetooth in the v600 so I ask him if they where going to be receiving them & he said in mid March; supposedly. By the way he said to call cust service directly to get the best deal & then I could pick up the phones their. Cool Guy. 🤣

I just received a called from my sells rep. here in the Houston area informing me that the long awaited (V600) will arrive into Attwireless stores on the 9th. I personally drove to the store myself aftertalking to her and she was able to give me in extra discount price from $299.99 with a 2 year contract of cource she was able to do $269.99, so the phone is done paid for. And she called in my presence the corporate office here in Houston to confirm the order had been made and to confirm arrival so now more then ever I am convinced....

Ok Guys -- I just got off the phone with Shirley, from SunCom. I am a SunCom customer, and this was the first time that someone there in Business Customer Service knew what I was talking about when I mentioned the phone. She told me that they had been told the phones would be for sale beginning on Feb 13. She said this is what Motorola and ATTW had told them and that they had received official confirmation of this. The phone will sell for 330.00. Hope this helps --

Sorry if this has been asked already but I was wondering what games are there for the v600. I have the nokia 3650 and nothing makes night classes go by faster than playing billiards on my phone. So what games are there?

The time has FINALLY come! Rejoyce!

I've been a nokia guy ever since I got my first cell phone and I was wondering in all honesty what is the difference between nokia and motorola. I have never had a flip phone and I wanted to make the V600 my first because Ive heard alot of good things. Is it worth it? Or should I stay with my nokia 3650?

Hey Moto fans! I was viewing the V600 on gsmareana.com and noticed a link stating the long awaited phone was now available. Communication Telecom International in NYC is showing the V600 in stock.

The phone is listed for $625, which includes the Moto HS-810 BT Headset. Although, I haven't had the chance to speak with a representative at CTI in NY to confirm the availability, I thought it was worth mentioning.

All this Motorola v600 is some B.S. Either Att is full of it of Motorola is full of it. I am starting to not care if this phone ever come out. In a minute I'm just going to wait till another phone come out and not even think about this phone, because it seems that know one knows about this f**** phone!!

Hey guys, I didn't get a chance to catch the superbowl. Did anyone see any v600 commercials in it. I thought that Moto might air some.

Okay folks, here's the scoop. I spoke with the ATTW designated corporate account reps. These reps are MUCH more helpful than the traditional customer service reps.

Anyway, she did a ton of looking in different listings for the corporate accounts. She said it looked like the V600 was just added to their device listing sheet, but with no price. I think we all know it will be $299 because of the new releases.

She said it should be available very soon as today was the first time she saw it on their device sheets. I would wager this phone will be released in the next week or so in light the price is not listed yet for the corporate reps.

I hope this sheds a little light. At least it looks like it is on the Motorola side, not ATTW.

I went to my ATT store(houston) today and no V600. The guy there knew about the phone but said it would come out later this month. If anyone finds the phone at a ATT store, post it ASAP!!!!

interesting.. but i tried to look up the v600 on www.hellomoto.com and you can't any more. select the v600 from the drop down link on the upper left, says that page isn't available. did a full search on the site too, all that is left is a press release that was put out months ago. date on the web site says "coming first half of 2004".

kinda odd.

Is there any way the people planning to get their hands on an unlocked V600 as soon as it's available can organize together and find a distributor to get a group buy at a better price? I can try to organize it if there is enough interest, but I have never done such a task before. Thoughts?

does anyone know if the v600 will be out for cingular wireless?

Hey guys, I'm a first time poster here but I've been keeping up with the V600 for a few months now. I was wondering if a Bluetooth wireless usb adapter would work on the V600's. I currently have the Nokia 7210 I refused to buy the data cable for this phone, and I doubt I will buy the data cable for the V600. So my question is, will it work?
