V600 will work on T-Mobiles Network

A friend in Italy is trying to get me two unlocked phones. I spoke to the Manager at a T-Mobile store in Plano, TX today in anticipation of getting the phones. He said as long as the phones are unlocked it will work on their network, because the phone works on all the GSM frequencies worldwide. Any advice on this?

He also said that they should be getting the phones around the beginning of the summer. The key word being should. Things can change.

I'm with Sprint right now, but I would rather wait for T-Mobile to get the phone because I have been burned by AT&T customer service in the past and I swore I would never use or buy anything AT&T again if I can help it.

Yea, once you get it unlocked, it will work great. A good poster on this forum posted a link a bit further down that will also tell you how to program the phone to work with T Zones. I think it was panga_go_plango. The whole point of the phone being quadband is to work anywhere. I understand your concern with AT&T having customer service problems. They had to close some call centers and alot of jobs were lost. That along with system issues are making it tough for thee company and customer relaitions. Although I work for AT&T in retail, I purchased my girlfriend a T Mobile phone. They have always been more then fair and very accessible. While AT&T has alot going for them as far as technology and coverage a lack of service can be killer.
